  2. I imagine Evan Mahaffey’s experience playing against Purdue and occasionally at their place will be helpful for our locker room. And to a lesser degree Hardman’s experience.
  3. From very limited research...I think that 7 of the 17 teams that the Zips played this year......will play conference semi final games this week. Below is the schedule....for the 7 games...I am picking up the game times by going to the NCAA scores website... Hopefully, they have good info Wednesday November 12th West Virginia 12-3-3 record ....will play 3 seed Marshall in Sun Belt Conference semi - 7 pm Cleveland State 7-3-6 record...I think they are the top seed...they will play 5 seed Robert Morris in Horizon League Semi 4 pm game time Western Michigan 6-9-3 record.....they will play 2 seed Drake in MVC semi...7 pm Vermont with an impressive 12-0-5 record...they will play 4 seed New Hampshire in semifinal - 7:30 pm St. Louis....very good 9-2-6 record (only 2 losses - Akron and Indiana)...they will play 4 seed Davidson in A10 semi - 8 pm Thursday November 13th Cornell 12-2-2 record.....will face 3 seed Penn in Ivy League Semi - 3:30 pm Mighty Akron 11-3-3 will have a rematch with UConn 10-3-4 - 5 pm Season over for these zip opponents VCU 6-6-5 Northern Kentucky 4-10-3 Ohio State 6-10-0 Butler 5-10-2 St. John's 9-5-4 DePaul 2-8-7 Seton Hall 7-3-7 Xavier 5-6-4 Marquette 7-7-2 Creighton 8-4-4
  4. He was the other player in America to average at least 17.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting at least 59.0 percent from the field last year (with Cluff). He's also 6'9".
  5. YSU and PS Shenago on espn+
  6. Good representation by the MAC. I think this might be Bowling Green’s year. Are there any Sun Belt teams on there?
  7. Thanks @TennZip https://www.inforum.com/sports/pro/michael-boxall-wil-trapp-to-return-to-minnesota-united-in-2026
  8. The world you live in must be an interesting one. Go Zips.
  9. Pay attention to Purdue's game vs Bama. Arguably their best player, Trey Kauffman-Renn, was a game time decision with a hip issue before ultimately sitting out vs Oakland. Even if he plays vs Bama, Purdue has Memphis after Akron and I could see him resting a bit vs Akron.
  10. I can;t access the article below as I don't subscribe I believe that Will had to play a certain number of games in 2025...for his contract to be picked up for 2026. He played in more games than needed....so Wil be part of Minnesota United for 2026 https://www.twincities.com/2025/10/24/michael-boxall-wil-trapp-to-return-to-minnesota-united-in-2026/

  12. Now that Kent has a pulse, this will be a tough game. I've lost all hope that Finley will complete 65%, but at least I hope for no stupid mistakes. I think the D will continue to shine, and the O will score just enough. Zips 24 -- Flashes 17
  13. Of course, we will get homered by the BIG ref's, but I think we have enough depth to keep the pace fast. I'm no BB guru, but from what I've seen, I think we will be a match up problem for them as they are for us. Young in particular sticks to his man like glue. The whole D has been great. I think it will come down to shooting. Can we make a decent shooting %? Our chance for a V? I would say slim, but not none. GO ZIPS
  14. Real Salt Lake sign DeAndre Yedlin to contract extension St. Louis CITY SC Re-signs Goalkeeper Ben Lundt Through 2027 Toronto FC Announce Year-End Roster Moves Ahead of 2026 Season
  15. I will endeavor to update this as I or others learn / post the status of our Zips in the Pros for 2026. MLS Minnesota United FC - Wil Trapp Real Salt Lake - DeAndre Yedlin St Louis City SC - Ben Lundt Toronto FC - Richie Laryea, Malik Henry
  16. It was relegation. 😊 That's also why NIU is going to the downgraded Mountain West.
  17. The MAC without BG? Well, well... looks like UMass went back to the A10 and took the falcons along.
  18. I think the Zips will have a problem with Oscar Cluff, the 6'11" Aussie transfer from South Dakota State. He was one of only two players in the country to average at least 17.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting at least 59.0 percent from the field a year ago. The Zips depth and speed can be effective on the perimeter but it will be tough to handle Cluff. They also have a 7'4" sophomore that plays some.
  19. We have NO CHANCE to upset the #1 team in the nation. 😉 No. 1 Houston leapfrogs Purdue in AP Top 25 poll.
  20. Massive matchup tonight with UNCW coming to Kent for a OOC matchup. UNCW is 120 in KenPom (Miami OH is 121 for comparison) and Kent is up to 136. Really wish we could get a team this high to come to the JAR yearly. (Outside of the SBC) but this years OOC seems like a step in the right direction at least
  21. Purdue hasn't lost a home nonconference game since Nov 2019 to Texas. This will definitely be a challenge against the #2 team in the country. I hope to see us play strong till the end.
  22. Give them horse racing. They will bet on anything at any time. Make Saturday 56 games. They don't care. Barstool is for gambling degenerates. McAfee is a company guy who will do anything for the team.
  23. Akron up to #14 in the College Soccer News poll while remaining at #24 in the Top Drawer poll. https://collegesoccernews.com/college-soccer-news-mens-week-12-top-25-coaches-poll-maryland-claims-top-spot-nc-state-and-stanford-drop/ https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college-soccer-national-rankings/men
  24. Other thing I'd like to try with the MACtion...plaster ads everywhere and cut back the TV timeouts. See if we can't find a happy medium. Attendance on the weekdays should also be a bit better if you knew going in the 7 PM kickoff wasn't going to get you to your car by 11
