  1. Past hour
  2. Groce just plucked the Associate HC away from Miami OH haha!
  3. I know they're longer MAC, but I believe I saw us mentioned with him a few weeks back.
  4. My error - I edited it and added him.
  5. Very small team. Desperately need another big or 2
  6. Today
  7. Since he is not listed i assume Jashawn Ladd is no longer committed???
  8. Teams are allowed up to 15 scholarships now and the real cost to the University for the marginal cost of 1-2 extra students is very minimal and way less than the stated cost. I wouldn't see why if someone is under scholarship or not is material any longer since the number of scholarships allowed now matches the roster spots allowed.
  9. He should. He’s earned it. I just hope he improves offensively.
  10. This is where we are projected to be right now. I know someone mentioned one of the freshmen leaving, but until we get verification or see someone officially declare portal entry, I'm going to include them. This would leave us with 3 open roster spots. Returning (9) Barre Halligan MMK Head Perkins Henderson Jones Christion Ladd Incoming (3) Staveskie Burton Wilson
  11. I thought we had an NFL-bound offensive tackle that I didn't know about until I listened to the clip. 🤣
  12. Hello Zips Nation, The current software utilized for our site will cease to receive support. We will transition to Invision’s new Community platform. While the transition is anticipated to be seamless, it is important to acknowledge that minor challenges may arise. I have commenced preliminary work on the backend. The login process has to undergo a modification for enhanced security for the new software. Users will no longer be permitted to log in using their display name; instead, they will be required to utilize their email addresses. This change will be implemented in the near future. Sometime this summer, prior to football season, I will execute a comprehensive upgrade. This process may result in changes to the look and interactive elements of our site. I am providing this notification to ensure that all users are informed. I will post updates in this thread before proceeding with the full upgrade. Kind regards, Dr Z

  13. NFL-bound Zips Offensive Tackle Gets Some Love on the NBA Starting Line up Show Yesterday. Frank Isola and Scal
  14. Is halligan getting a scholarship then?
  15. Isola_Scal.M4V NFL-bound Zips offensive tackle highlighted on the NBA Starting Line up yesterday.
  16. At hey, at least there won't be any more Friday night games!!!
  17. I can speculate, assume, reason, and guess that Coach Ford isn't going to be pushed around by the players and agents. He recruited over Sherron.
  18. I peaked at the WKU message board and they were posting about a week ago about Young joining so it must have been a deal that was done for several days, but they were ironing out the details. The person who posted about it said CoC and Marshall were the other two serious bidders.
  19. Hey maybe it came down to Sharron vs Tahj vs the same amount Loyalty goes both ways these days I suppose
  20. WKU is a program many around the MAC for years have coveted for expansion, specifically because of the quality of their basketball program, historically. Guessing their NIL is competitive with MAC teams, just a ??? of which positions they want/need to spend it.
  21. Sharron was one of my favorite Zips, but an undersized guard like him has to be able to shoot at a better rate than 40/33 to earn a starting gig on a championship-caliber team. He did it as a freshman, so he can absolutely be that guy, but maybe his ask didn't match what he has proven to be to this point. I wish him the best - he seems like a good kid.
  22. Odd to me as well. I liked what Sharron did while he was here and liked his potential. Time will tell whether we got/kept the better guy or not.
  23. WKU must have some serious NIL money. Tops? LOL.
  24. I think it's a bit telling that Groce didn't make a strong play for him. After all if the rumors are true about CoC NIL they should be able to outbid WKU. Edit: I think WKU followed him higher than Akron/CoC thought his market value was.
  25. Sharron to Western Kentucky. They must have some serious NIL money because that's not an improvement in program.
  26. From folks inside the program I heard that they wanted Eric but feared they couldn't afford him, which was true. He ended up better on all counts. As regards Sharon they felt they had better talent coming in and coming up from redshirt. They wanted to keep him but were not going to pay much. Personally I hate losing him because I liked his grit. According to the people I talked with he was never assured he would start.
