Which best describes your feelings on the MAC scheduling model?
GP1 replied to mrelegazna's topic in Akron Zips Football
Depends on who you are selling it to. If you are selling it to dimwitted without an ounce of creativity athletic directors who will destroy the institutions they work for in order to get a higher paying job, it's an easy sell. -
Got my hoodie in Nashville yesterday, still waiting for the hat - figured they would have shipped together.

My guess, at least for the hats, they probably didn't have too much in stock. They said they had over 1k orders and if they had that many hats pre-made it would have been a huge waste of money had Scott not hit that shot and the Zips didn't 3Peat. As for the hoodies it could be what @Zips1991 said or it's very possible they ran out of stock there as well and had to place another shipment.

It started off on Thursday's and then other conferences started doing it and the NFL. We moved to Tuesday / Wednesday and others play some on those night but its been primarily the MAC. The NFL is experimenting with a Wednesday game this year and has expressed an interest in moving some more games during the week. This will end up burying some these games any way when it gets to this. You add this to viewer fatigue and this model could add more harm over time. Having a 3rd of the schedule on days fans can't attend in person has become a tough sell.

Seems like they may have got backed up around MAC tournament time, either by the number of orders or just by the busy nature of the time. When I ordered at the end of the season, it came about 7 days after ordering.

32 points that game..I think most were in the 2nd half, too.

Jared Embick contract extension
TennZip replied to TennZip's topic in Akron Zips NCAA Championship Soccer
I am happy with this news. Coach Embick and Coach Groce are both outstanding coaches and Akron is very fortunate to have both leaders. Coach Embick and his staff have done a great job in adding players for next fall. The future is bright for Akron soccer. The Beacon has a long article about the contract extension. One item in the article…..that I did not know….is the first game for next fall. From Beacon article: The Zips are scheduled to begin the 2026 season against Dayton on Aug. 20 at FirstEnergy Stadium. -
I received my GV Artwork shirt. It's nice. Very cool, retro style. My kids also love their Yes Way Jose shirts for the Guardians that arrived in the same package. Here's to hoping they make more Akron gear so I can justify more Guardians gear, too.

Has anyone received their FTRC gear?

NC State fans are pissed. That's why you never fall in love with a stripper. -
There's recovery for this?

That the "premier" MAC schools are basically coming out and saying "this sucks" may be the catalyst to get rid of the weekday games. What I wonder is...is there a different TV network (or streaming partner, whatever) that's interested in getting into the game that can make the MAC a centerpiece of their (admittedly smaller) network. In a world where the NAL and IFL are getting streaming partners and games aired anywhere (not exactly for the MAC's dollars, but still)... -
JT Brubaker just can’t buy a break. He got clobbered by a comebacker and broke three ribs on the left side. He must wear a target for batters to aim at. He was placed on IR.
