stumbled on this guy David Delano who broke down Eastern Michigan, Toledo and Zips. Apparently Zips are -105 to go under 4.5 wins according to DraftKings. The only sure win according to him was RMU. Thought Zips "should beat" Umass, never know about Kent State cause its a rivalry and its on the road, and thought you could throw in MAYBE one upset win somewhere but definitely does not see five wins this year. The Zips coverage starts at the 8:19 mark... Kind of hard to argue with the logic, unfortunately

The ACC is paying schools for viewers. In the coming years, more schools like Wake Forest, Syracuse and BC will start to play a lot of Friday night games.

The MAC season? They should play the first week or two every year like they used to when 25,000 people would be at games.

I’ve been saying for ages that Akron Kent should kick off the mac season. Best weather, most hope (nobody is 1-8+) and won’t conflict with big buckeye games

While we know the MAC schools are just trying to get every last penny immediately without considering long-term growth, one would think having six Saturday games (instead of three) just might be better for developing a fan base and a season ticket base. But that involves work, and we know better than to expect that from this athletic department. Hopefully Toledo and BG have at least started sowing the seeds to get rid of this in at least getting their Tuesday rivalry game moved to a Friday.

Precisely, I'll just be happy if the next TV protects the MAC rivalry games. Even if that means moving those games to October.

I'm not an expert but I would assume the tv contract pays the University more for a Tuesday game with a bad crowd than if it was on a Saturday with slightly less bad crowds.

Lyles got his first start of the summer and recorded 18 points and 6 rebounds in 27 minutes. Although he did have 5 turnovers.

I watched some of the Freeman's game today when the World Cup was not on and Freeman looked good scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds including 6 offensive rebounds. At the end of the game he was a beast on the offensive boards givning Minn multiple offensive possessions.

He's probably better off playing overseas. G-League players only make ~$50K unless on a two-way. He could probably make double that in Europe.

Well Lyles is playing pro ball now so I'm uncertain how that would factor in. I know a random G-League player last year ended up committing to some D1 school and I know some pro European players have came to D1. The rules use to be much simpler when determining if a player was eligible or not.

Yes, that's the rule. That's why Evan and others took the matter to court to bypass the rule. He wouldn't have needed to take it to court otherwise.

If TJ is eligible, Lyles should be as well.

Two things here 1- at least the games will be fun 2- defense has been the better coached side the entirety of this regime so they should develop well this season

I just read the NCAA rules and it indicates that students who have completed their eligibility under the old rules do not get the 5 for 5. Somebody posted that Tavari should come back. Enrique has enough on film now between his limited NBA play and the G-League. At this juncture he needs a team to believe in him more than he needs stellar rookie league performances.

The offense “should” be pretty darn good but the defense could be awful.
