  1. Past hour
  2. I might be in the minority, but from my eye test when I've seen him on the floor he still looks very raw and appears to still be adapting to the American game. Him joining the team so late didn't help his cause. He could have probably used an extra ~3 months of practice in the offseason.
  3. Hold him out of warmups?
  4. How is it possible to see less?
  5. Today
  6. Sorry, all kidding aside I agree with @clarkwgriswold Go Zips!!
  7. Okay, with 9 regular season games left I believe Chabi baring another injury setback will work his way into the rotation. What is everyone’s take on seeing more or less of Oggie heading down the stretch?
  8. I would expect someone like you to say such a thing. 😆
  9. Discuss whatever you wish guys, but as for me, I come to the forum in part to get away from the daily "controversy" cycle.
  10. Enrique announced on his Instagram today that he is starting the Freeman Family Foundation, a non-profit aimed at supporting youth and families in the community. As their first initiative, they announced the Freeman Future Leadership scholarship, which will be awarded to five students.
  11. Because I'm not a communist. Leave the commie crap to Kent - Berkley's Portage County Campus is very good at it. Go Zips.
  12. Why don't you have this same energy for the discussion on the national anthem? Listen, I think it's OK if people discuss it, or if people don't want to, that's fine too! It was out of the norm for this program and university and plenty of people noticed, so it's being discussed. It's a choice to engage in any of the many topics a discussion forum will provide.
  13. So if Groce is leading in such a way that doesn't offend anyone, why is that a focus of some on this board? It's a choice to be offended, especially with something that caused no harm to anyone. We kicked Kent's butt for a 6th straight time. Let's get back to focusing on that.
  14. Shout out to Eric and Marvin with rebounding.
  15. Glad to see he's doing well. Zeke Marshall's mom also used to post sometimes. He's no longer playing but is now working as a basketball and career coach so it seems he's doing well too. And if you want to feel old, he's 35. 😊
  16. What did the women think of seeing four shots made in one period?
  17. Yesterday
  18. Speaking of alumni parents, I remember only one parent that used to post on this board and that was Kwan's mom. She was always very nice. I started thinking about Kwan and it looks like he has had a very successful career playing all over Europe and in Israel. I copied his Twitter picture and he looks great with a very handsome family.
  19. Make that two former Zips on the new Browns staff. Was there the same time as Switzer.
  20. Yes, it seems weird that people fixate on it. Not like he left for an extra $10k or $20k. I would have left too if I was in his position and I would have no regrets about it either. He's in a position that he can play professional basketball somewhere until his 30s while his money grows and then not have to worry about a career post basketball. He might still need to work a little to supplement his income, but he can be picky what he does and do something he truly enjoys. A pretty envious position to be in.
  21. I don't think anyone is suggesting any players were offended. I think @VAZipis just pointing out a very real double-standard there is with religious expression. We all know and agree Coach Groce would never do something that would make any players feel not welcome.
  22. That would make sense with Enrique's mom there. It's nice to see that the program we love engenders that kind of good feelings and sentimentality. I feel bad for Nate with K State's struggles. There are still people out there with hurt feelings over him leaving but the kid did what was best for himself and his family in the long term.
  23. Someone told me at the game that is was a players parents reunion event. Don't know if that's true, but that's what I heard.
  24. The NIL money at P4 programs has gotten so stupid that it forces players to choose getting a fat pay check and losing over staying with their teammates/friends, coaches, and winning championships. That's just the way it is now. No use lamenting it. Next man up.
  25. Nate’s mom still comes to Zips games? That’s pretty cool & rather telling, unless there’s another angle to the story I’m not privy to?
  26. The money was obviously a huge factor, but maybe Nate will come back around the Akron program and echo Ali’s message that the grass isn’t always greener elsewhere. And not every program or locker room has a great culture like Akron does. Cherish what you have.
  27. That’s great….i have no doubt the team is cool with everyone’s beliefs. Personally I’m not a big fan of ‘performative religion’ and I’ll admit it turned me off a little. But they certainly have the right to wear whatever they want.
  28. I'm watching K-state get demolished at home by Iowa St right now. Down by 30 at the half. Nate is probably the 3rd or 4th option on a really bad team. His mom and her husband were at the JAR Friday night. I asked how he was doing and she was pretty non-commital, just saying he was fine.
