  1. Past hour
  2. In absence of any other values, yes.
  3. Today
  4. Yeah, really the best way to ensure we play CMU in the Quarterfinals would be if we lost to them tonight (although it still wouldn't be locked in). But obviously, that is not something I can wish to happen.
  5. On a serious note if this guys is actually interviewing after being here for like 6 months, just fire his ass and hire someone with some loyalty.
  6. Espn predicts conference tournament winners https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/48078506/men-conference-tournaments-predictability-trends-top-low-seeds-2026
  7. Steve Urkel would be a more believable pimp than me.
  8. Not when this year, when I'm ultimately rooting for Miami OH's demise. Lol.
  9. It feels dirty rooting for Ohio.
  10. I've been messing around with the potential seeding and tiebreakers. I think the only way UMass can get eliminated tonight is if they lose to Ohio, Buffalo beats EMU, and we lose to CMU. I say let's get the first two done tonight, and let CMU win in their last game to finish the job. 😅
  11. So that you can see whether or not there is a mother more lucrative Mountain over that one.
  12. Thank you, now I can root wholeheartedly tonight. 😊
  13. CMU's fate actually comes down to Ohio winning tonight and CMU beating Balls on Friday. Should that occur, they will be the 7 seed vs. Akron in R1.
  14. A fluke 3 point win in that ancient craphole called Millett with a 20 FT advantage while Akron shot a season low(?) 25% from 3P is the only reason anyone is still talking about Miami OH as the last undefeated team. Just take it one game at a time and get me to March 14th.
  15. The one advantage to changing our logo every few years is lost in this scenario, if they're going to put our name right below it.
  16. And we didn't have a couple of guys named Mahaffey playing.
  17. It's almost a little disappointing that we drew CMU at this point. Beating them probably means they'll miss the tournament and I'd be happier to see them than I would say UMass or Buffalo.
  18. Keep this in mind. A fully healthy Miami OH team with essentially this exact same team plus Kam Craft, Reece Potter, and Mekhi Cooper shot 49% from the field and 50% from 3P in last year's MAC title game. They were up 18 at one point in that game. They lost by 2 to a far inferior squad offensively, especially compared to this year's Akron team. Miami OH doesn't have Craft, Potter, and Cooper this year; Ipsaro is out for the season. Good luck to the Redhawks should both teams make it to Saturday night in Cleveland.
  19. Getting destroyed is an understatement. A sampling: Completely wrong. High majors played tougher schedules than ever this year. You are just trying to protect Miami for not putting in effort in building it. I promise if high majors are scheduling Yale and Akron, they will schedule Miami. You are unfortunately the last person to be talking about competitive courage when 11/14 of your non conference games were either an NAIA school, a D2 school, or a D1 that ranked 285 or below out of 365 teams. Maybe you should listen to your own preaching. Was pushing a $250M+ new arena project part of Miami OH's incentivization to schedule 3 non DI teams and have the toughest controllable mid major be Wright State? P4s aside, there doesn't appear to have been a legit attempt to target truly competitive opponents.
  20. How close did you come to winning?
  21. They are a team that can get very hot from 3...so can Akron. Those are the most dangerous teams in March.
  22. I want and expect a win, but my biggest hope is to get through these next two games healthy.
  23. I've seen some discussion surrounding Miami that Sayler would only play P4 teams if they agreed to a home-and-home. He obviously knows that isn't happening, so I have to assume this was intentional and he could still try the "nobody would play us!" nonsense.
  24. It is sad that I'm surprised there are 6 teams worse? If blindly asked I would have thought we would be 2nd or 3rd worst.
  25. I do agree there should be more standardization in compensation. Regarding is other tweet the big reason why power programs stopped going to mid-major schools is money. Not only do they get ticket sales and concessions, but the home team dictates who has broadcasting rights. Now that all these big conferences have their own networks they have to not only fill TV slots for ESPN, Fox, CBS...but also need programing for the SEC, ACC, Big 10 networks. Purdue-Akron might not draw millions of eyeballs, but it will get more viewers than a random Big 10 volleyball or soccer match.
