  2. Nothing says "emphasizing strength of schedule" like sheltering your conference under the umbrella of zero-bias preseason polls.
  3. I'm ~140-145 lbs and my goal every time I eat at Rockne's is to wolf down a Mack the Knife plus the fries. Someday this will probably catch up with me, but that day is not today. It's very, very good. @DCPoke Ahead of the game on Thursday: - Welcome to Akron. I hope you have a nice experience. Hopefully the forecasted rain doesn't occur around or during the game. Temperature wise, it should be perfect (low 70s/upper 60s). Echoing previous posts, you cannot go wrong with Rockne's on The Strip in North Canton. - Much as you believe this Akron game will be a litmus test for Wyoming's season outlook, Akron fans have the same view for our season. We have been very competitive in the majority of conference games the last 2 seasons, but the wins have eluded us for the most part. We finished last year strong and are hoping to build upon that momentum, especially with a rare returning starting QB in Ben Finley. - I know you have nothing to do with this, but thank you to your alma mater for playing at Akron. For our fanbase, seeing a non conference D1 FBS opponent at the Info is like seeing a winning Browns season. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's special. Wyoming is a great opponent and when Akron makes the return trip out to Laramie, I'm hoping to make the trip.
  4. This team has the chance to be very, very good. Their possession and decision making seems... sharper compared to previous seasons (I could be wrong, just a feeling based on the first two games). HUGE contest on Friday. Go Zips.
  5. Today
  6. Agree that Sullivan and Borneo looked lively and skillful. Hopefully Ferguson finds his form soon... they'll need another scorer in the box. I've also thought Roman has been one of the more consistent players in both games - really like his hustle and ability to make things happen. Overall, the team looks like a group that's putting the pieces together so hopefully that means a big upside. Excited to see how they perform after a week of practice against a strong side in WVU!
  7. great result for St. Louis !!! tonight's games La Salle at W. VA 6 Maryland at Georgetown 7 New Haven at Providence 7 Cleveland State at Grand Canyon 10

  10. Has Akron released their depth chart?

Caleb Borneo and Jack Sullivan and Remi Agunbiade , to me, were the bright spots in tonight's game. Borneo always seemed to be around the ball in the 2nd half.
  12. "What did he do to encourage attendance?" is another valid question.
  13. Nothing. Just didn’t promote it enough in my opinion.
  14. Some Sunday night scores UConn might be better than expected Thursday night, they knocked off ACC team Syracuse Tonight, UConn hosted #8 UMass...two teams battled to a 1-1 result #23 Hofstra with a 2-0 win over St. John's UNC Greensboro defeated VCU 3-2 Butler with a 1-0 win over Bowling Green.
  15. Setting up tailgate plans now. Hope for a good showing and a win! GO ZIPS!
  16. What exactly did Guthrie do to discourage attendance at soccer games?
  17. Hell yeah it’s game week! Looking forward to seeing this new look Zips team. Just one game, but I’d feel really good about this season if we start out with a win on Thursday.
  18. Thanks for all the recommendations! We'll see how it goes. If all goes well we'll be in the area around 2 p.m., check into our hotel and make our way to the stadium area. Looking forward to checking out your tailgating scene and meeting some Zips before the game.
  19. Wyoming’s depth chart is out. I tried posting above, but was having tech issues. There are few surprises compared to what was expected heading into fall camp, though for the most part it looks about as anticipated.
