Interesting add for UMass. They received a commitment from Abdullah Ahmed from BYU. Last season he averaged 1.4 blocks while scoring 1.3ppg. It might be the first time I recall seeing someone averaging more blocks than ppg.

Now that the roster is set, keep your heads on a swivel for schedule announcements. Curious to see what type of schedule gets put together.

Zips clinch the number one seed at Firestone!
-
It would hurt more if he were a serviceable backup big.
-
Zips softball gets the walkoff win to put them on the brink of a regular season title! Zips have two games left (one today and one tomorrow). NIU has one game left (starting now). Zips need one win or a NIU loss to clinch the title.

huge whiff by Dustin.

He has no shame.😱

This one hurts. I will never forgive John for poaching our guys.

Malik getting (I think) his first ever MLS start today. At least the first this season. EDIT: Actually it's his 2nd start this season but first since the first match back on February 21st.

I feel it's telling more and more international players are coming to America now that NIL is a thing. Earnings very widely my league. There are probably only a few international leagues paying better than college basketball.
-
I would be interested to see what Zips go on to earn as pros. What do those contracts that Castaneda, Isaiah Gray, etc. look like? How much do Zips make as pros vs. what they get through NIL? Doesn't pretty much everyone go on to play pro ball somewhere?

Has Perkins' brother landed anywhere?

Is there anyone from Concord worth getting a look as a walk-on for a year. Maybe with a chance to earn a scholly the year after?
-
I saw we recently announced a new sponsor, but if didn’t appear to be for the jersey patch. Good to see we are bringing more in regardless.
-
Thanks, I thought that was a done deal. His failure to sign now makes sense. It is weird in that before the college money, players could not wait to make money and left college early. Now they want to stay in college to make more money than they ever could as a pro.

I imagine we'll start seeing a couple of these announced each week between now and August. -
Coach Ford was having breakfast locally today with Coach Dambrot, moles say. Would have been fun to eavesdrop on that chat.

Worth noting just 71 players have filed as early entry candidates for NBA Draft 2026, the lowest total in over 20 years. With the player pool much smaller than usual, maybe there's a shot? I would think a summer camp invite, at least.

The Zips could play a little Ten team on the Road.
