This would definitely be a season where a Bracket Buster () game would be awesome. I'd love to see the 2016-17 Zips team match up against someone like Illinois State or Middle Tennessee. Big Dog and Kwan give us the size and skill to keep just about any college team honest in the paint, and we shoot the 3 as well as anyone. If we can tighten up the D over the next 4 weeks, we could really be something special. And, we need to stay healthy. And, no one go shipping/receiving 5 pound boxes of anything between now and April!3 points

I would like to point out this prediction, assuming this is correct.2 points

I think we are in "win now" mode with Kwan and Big Dog as seniors. I expect us to give Mike another week or two off and then get him to where he is giving us 5-10 minutes a night. We are going to need him when Big Dog and/or Kwan get in foul trouble against better teams in the MAC.2 points

Just looking at the numbers...a lot in the offseason has gone into finding people at DB and DL. This looks to be the biggest Bowden class to date.1 point

I heard that mentioned in the post game show for the first time last night. I still think the MAC POTY is Big Dog's to lose, but Kwan deserves to be in the conversation. If Keene somehow wins it, I'll puke.1 point

Nice. Doesn't look like Minnesota offered. We get him in for an official visit the last weekend before signing day, usually a good thing.1 point

Because then you run the risk of missing some shots earlier in the shot clock and actually letting them back in the game. KD played to make sure he came out with the win when we went up 20, I have no problem with that.1 point

I never really thought the game was in doubt. We didn't look as good offensively in the 2nd half because we were waiting ~15 seconds before settling into our offense. We quit moving the ball around and we stopped pushing the ball in transition. We were pretty much playing against the clock instead of WMU that 2nd half. This led to a lot of contested forced shots late in the shot clock. Shots we wouldn't have been stuck with had we just kept the offense flowing.1 point

In fairness, the gap between Villanova and Marquette is a lot smaller than Akron and Western Michigan. But yeah, you can never complain about any road win, but I think you can pick a part some flaws. Edit: That Marquette-Nova game was at Marquette, btw. However, Marquette did just beat Creighton on the road Saturday.1 point

Speaking about how hard it is to win on the road, No 1 ranked Nova just lost to unranked Marquette.1 point

I'm grateful for Poke's contributions and development time while we've been waiting.1 point

7 winners this week. Congrats to clarkgriswold, zippyfan34, 72Roo, Hilltopper, roopride, ZipZap and Zip JD. Congrats most to the Zips on a nice win, way over on the over and Josh and Kwan tied with three threes apiece.1 point

They put everything together. And then relaxed, because they could and were up by 25. Game was never in any doubt1 point

I can understand that philosophy, somewhat, when you are the less talented team. But this team needs to put their foots on people's necks at some point. It's something they haven't done all season long. What looked like was finally going to be the game they put everything together, turns into another meh win. Oh well, 7-0 is 7-0.1 point

Same happened to us last game. We had our offense running in the 1st half then kind of come out in the 2nd and focus on burning the clock. I never understood why you don't keep the foot on the accelerator when the offense is flowing. Same bothers me in football when teams go to prevent defense and it lets the other team back into the game.1 point

I dont normally complain about refs but these guys have gotten REALLY trigger happy with the fouls.1 point

Wellllll....there's one thing that looks worse that empty blue seats- empty gold seats.1 point

One way to not miss many free throws is to make all your actual shots so you don't have to go to the line. I like the outside the box thinking1 point

I'm not too concerned with what FCS opponent we schedule. It's not going to make or break our schedule. Hopefully we run up the score big in the 1st 3 quarters so that our backup QB, whoever that is, can get some real game reps. Troy and Iowa State should both be challenging yet winnable games.1 point

This is a big deal that I've noticed as well. Kwan used to mentally check out of the game if he made a mistake.1 point
