  1. Tyler Cheese reminds me of Buffalos 6th man from last year. Can't remember his name. Harris? Lots of swagger. Flows on the court.

  2. Great GT article today- https://www.ohio.com/sports/20181127/university-of-akron-football-zips-still-have-plenty-of-motivation-for-season-finale To save you all the time, I will summarize the article- the season has sucked; beating SC would make it suck less; most likely, it will still really suck.

  4. Toles was okay, just not completely there yet. Looks a little like he's still finding his way and building some confidence. He almost looks like a guy coming off of an injury that took him out for an extended period of time, if that makes any sense.

  5. It may have just been the lame competition, but Tyler Cheese was slashing and had a perfect stroke on his 3 pointers.

  6. Tale of two halves. Very ugly first half then they got into the flow in the second half. Alabama State is pretty damn awful Very encouraged by Jeremy Roscoe. He's substantially better than I anticipated. It looks like Groce is starting to settle into a rotation and experimenting with things to get ready for the MAC.

  7. Is it just me or are others getting annoyed seeing that Ohio Lottery commercial 2-3x each tv break?

  8. TennZip, I know I have been critical of your criticism at time as well, and my apologies for that. This was a nice post by you, and I agree, this is something I haven't seen them try in a long time. I'm hoping it works out,, and I plan on being there and look forward to sharing with other fans rather than watching at home alone. Sorry you'll miss it, and thanks for posting this.

  9. I love the celebration photo in the e-mail advertising photo They are doing a good job promoting this event... I have been critical of the athletic dept over the years for lack of promotion...but I will give them a well done on this one... living 650 miles away from Akron, I will not be at the watch party....but I hope that there are lots of NEO fans....that are there cheering the hard working guys there are 30 some soccer zips...I think only 22 guys travel...so I would that the guys redshirting this year will be at the watch party Go zips...Thank You Larry Williams and the athletic department for making this happen

  10. A lot of this used to be included for free with your cable package, now they charge for them.

  11. It's ESPN streaming service. The content on it is absolutely phenomenal. It has all the 30/30, it has a series of Kobe breaking down NBA players, has a series of Manning breaking down young QB's, has every out of market MLS game, tons of other foreign soccer, random college games, other misc sports, and series. I will definitely be renewing my subscription.

  12. Yes, I was most impressed with Cheese. He got in a groove where everything was falling. Another player I was impressed with was E-Man. He seemed to actually have developed some some offensive moves. It's too be seen if this production will continue when we face bigger, stronger centers.

  13. He gave solid minutes. Hustles. I don't believe he shot the ball last night.

  14. amazing scoreless streak...BUT !!! check out the last person to score a run of play goal against them !!! can you say 1-0 Zip win....with Abdi scoring the Zip goal ? I am predicting it and it will happen !!! https://gostanford.com/news/2018/11/28/mens-soccer-quarterfinal-at-cagan.aspx The Cardinal owns an active NCAA-record postseason shutout streak of 14 consecutive matches and 1,414:20 of match time. It last surrendered an NCAA tournament goal in the quarterfinals at Wake Forest on Dec. 5, 2015, an Ian Harkes penalty in the 70th minute. Stanford hasn't conceded a goal during the run of play in the tournament in the last 1,512:37, since Ohio State's Abdi Mohamed headed one home at 61:41 in a third-round match on Nov. 29, 2015.

  15. Thanks. Now we know why Sayles has trouble getting minutes. No boxing out, no cutting off the baseline. He needs a lot of work on defense.

  17. Jake Spatival to Texas State, JMU's coach to Charlotte. We could very well be missing the boat here with this rescheduled game. Our only hope could be to can Milwee by next season.

  18. I enjoy my ESPN+ and think it's worth the $5 a month even if it didn't have Zips games, imo.

  19. The sample size is small, but based off of Kenpom the MAC outside of Buffalo looks pretty evenly matched. It should be a fun year to watch MAC hoops. KenPom Rankings 40 - Buffalo 96 - Toledo 111 - Ball St 129 - Akron 149 - NIU 155 - Miami 159 - Kent St 162 - Ohio 165 - EMU 168 - CMU 185 - BGSU 212 - WMU

  20. According to Google, only the Queen hornets survive during the winter. Winter is the worker's & male's demise. 72-0 is my prediction based on this. The Yellow Jackets of Cedarville were acclimated to this weather being from Ohio, but the Hornets of the State of Alabama do not have such a bright future, I fear. Women's basketball would apparently be different though!
