I went through the list of Bowden's 2019 recruits on ZipsNation, and per 24/7, it looks like many have not signed with any school. That is unless the website is not updating after Wednesday. What I thought looked like a good class, does not look very good. Great job coach Arth. You set a good foundation for a future MAC championship.

Groce said in the postgame that the players' primary interest after the game was their defensive efficiency stat. I think that pretty well sums up this team's focus.

Nationally televised, big crowd, lots of students and the Zips didn't choke. A nice change.

We just moved up to the #24 defense on Kenpom.

Walker goes 4 for 19 for for 10 points while Avery goes the entire game without an assist. Just what the Zips had to do on D. Nice job by Jimond on Walker. Let's hope Mr. Pinky gets a lifetime contract with PCCC. He's playing 4 guards and a mobile smaller center and he's running much of the same $h!+ he ran with guys like Jimmy Hall and DeLaRosa instead of pushing the ball.

Four observations... 1) Can't State sucks 2) Second straight game with halftime adjustments that work. More aggressive, better offensive plays, etc. 3) We have a pretty good defense when it comes to ball movement. Just need to make more shots. 4) Can't State sucks.

The only sign of chippiness I saw was very early in the game when a PCCC player went to the hole and Cheese got called for a block. The kid popped up, stood over Cheese and said something to him, which provoked a response from Cheese. Nothing major. Nice to see a clean game. I suspected we might see something after Utomi stepped in under the KSU kid on the 3 pointer, but nothing happened.

We've seen the Zips struggle to close out the half or end of game. Nice to see them score to close out the first half.
