great college soccer game Will Meyer had a huge save in each overtime Will Jackson had his best game as a Zip. Endeley is an absolute beast for the Hoosiers and Jackson battled him all night Jason Shokalook had always been rated slightly lower than Sam Sarver when they were juniors. Shokalook outplayed Sarver tonight Jared and staff made great coaching adjustments at half time Hoosiers were better team in first half. Akron was the better team in 2nd half. Great performance by Wan Kuzri Wan Kamal and Ranato Kauzlaric in the midfield. Playing 2 college cup caliber teams ....without your best defensive midfielder....(Samu) and coming out with a 1-0-1 record is outstanding. It was very nice to see Captain Carlo Ritaccio in uniform. When Carlo comes back, the zips great depth will become even stronger Mailik Henry was a beast in the 2nd overtime. Great coaching decision by Jared to have Malik rested so he could run at tired legs in overtime Very proud of the Zips. playing preseason 2 and 3 in the 3rd week of the season..........great , great week for the Zips, This young team will continue to gel

The staff is in over their heads every bit as much as Ianello's crew. I'll always support UA, but today was the last time I'll be spending any money on football until somebody fixes this mess. Absolutely abysmal.

I'm keeping in mind that it was 17-7 went it all went haywire. Frankly, had Kato stayed in there was no guarantee of a win. Would say the odds were against it.

Our coaches have done an excellent job of retooling and coaching this team. We have talented, athletic players with the skills and fire to be great. Who else is planning to travel to blOSU to support our team versus the despised Buckeyes against whom the Zips have an all-time winning record of 29-6-5 (W-L-D), I believe?

Gotta be a close, competitive game today. I'm guessing the plan will be to give Kato the start w/ DJ coming in for the 2nd quarter. Whichever performs better will start the 2nd half. Let's go D... and OL.

I don't believe I've yet posted the scholly chart this season, but here's my best guess of where we appear to be at. 73 scholarship players in total, 12 under the "normal" max of 85..likely 25-ish less than teams who had a lot of seniors come back due to last year not counting against eligibility. We have one senior - Kato - who is clearly under scholarship. I'd imagine there are a few under scholly we don't know about, but those would be players who started as walk-ons who won't ever contribute outside of special teams. I'll be disappointed if there is some sort of multi-score loss tomorrow, and likely even a loss in general considering we should be going against a true freshman QB who has never completed a pass and a team that doesn't seem much more talented than us.
