I’ve been to so many Toilet Bowls as a Zips fan, dating back to Faust being carried off the field after besting OU to go 1-10 in his final season…what’s one more… F Kent.

I wonder if that will impact his Jenny Craig NIL money.

The barstool carries the university in advertising. I might sound like a burner but I know the guy who runs it and he just wants to organize something that nobody else wants to attempt too for this game

I'm glad I'll be working and being productive; I'll watch the score on my phone. Maybe we can run the ball enough to score some points regardless of who's the QB. And maybe the game trophy should be changed from the wagon wheel to the garbage can.

I remember going to a Kent-Akron game at Kent that we lost and after the game a fan was yelling at Faust and Faust's son tore into the fan stating that his dad worked his butt off. I thought they were going to get physical but cooler heads prevailed.

I still have a few Thirsty Dogs and Hopping Frogs left over from my annual trip to Akron to make the night go better.

I was at that OU game, too. Two winless teams going at it. I recall it was the same day as the OSU-Meeshigan game, but my dad wanted to go. I also remember hearing Faust's "boisterous" daughter yelling most of the game. Fighting until the end. I figure I put in my dues that game. Go get 'em Captain.

Weeknight games in NE Ohio in November are great for the program. It's exposure!

No. I just go to their games. It's enjoyable. I think if them a lot when I think of Akron. There is nothing they have accomplished in the he ACC in the past 15 years that Akron couldn't in the MAC. Wake Forest is a historically horrible program in a city very much like Akron. In fact, Akron Blvd is the main exit to get off of when going to the game from the expressway. Along the way they provided the players students alumni fans and general community around Winston Salem with as high of a quality game day experience as they could provide given their ability. They didn't let a bad team get in the way of a good experience. This is my hope for Akron. Get good at football. Along the way, make the football experience at Akron as top notch as possible for the players students alumni fans and general community. I just want them to do their best in those 5 areas and they aren't. It doesn't seem that hard to do. For example, does it really take two years to get a new scoreboard? It makes no sense to me. I work in the construction industry and something that easy to make shouldn't take this long to get. It's a television screen with large speakers held up by framing with some advertisement around it. Again Wake Forest, but they built an entire scoreboard, 30 yards long, with brick around it and the largest television screen in North Carolina during an off season.

I'm feeling the same way. I was reflecting on this and trying to make sense of how, even under Arth (and iCoach?!), I was somehow more excited about the Wagon Wheel game than I am this year. The only thing I can figure is that going into the season with even modestly high expectations has just really taken a toll on me. I'm going to watch the game, but it's going to be from the comfort of my easy chair.

It was 1457 Votes for a blackout, and 886 votes for a blueout. The barstool is pretty big on campus now then it was a couple of years ago, i know my buddy is still at UA and said their frat is gonna all buy matching black shirts lol for this. Whatever keeps the youth at the games is fine with me. Maybe ill wear a black hat for support.

The MAC is considered a 'guards' league ... but interesting that teams with the best 'proven returning guards' are picked third and fifth by the coaches. ... I believe Akron is a certain title contender, but with talented but unproven guards and still undetermined Ali Ali situation, the closer it gets to the start of the season the more uneasy it all seems.
