It’s just the flow of things at this level. Hard to hire a proven position coach with the salary being offered. Remains to be seen how well these two coaches do, but overall Moorhead has assembled an impressive staff.1 point

My point was that the top tier MAC guys aren't making lateral moves to other MAC schools. Both Toledo and Akron poached from NIU. The benefit is that they have more familiarity with the players other than film and see developing potential and attitude problems (the latter something Senderoff missed with Bass).1 point

I specifically said losing MAC programs. Toledo and Ohio do not fit that category. How Kowalchoke failed to win the MAC Tourney with a top 10 team's starting PG is actually impressive.1 point

Toledo beats the Zips 88-66. Down 17 at half, the Zips cut deficit to 9 in 3Q at one point. Second half was at least a little more entertaining.1 point

When you're below the bubble line, it's silly to look at bracketology this early. So much of where Akron would be seeded, assuming they even win in Cleveland, would depend on how other conference tournaments play out. There is no way of accurately predicting things in February, let alone January.1 point
