All of the teams that you cited aren't that much different than Akron. Akron was within 4 with about 8 minutes left. Sometimes those the times that Akron makes a run and it just didn't happen today. We played a good team but we no, were in no way overmatched despite the final score.

There have been at least four occasions in the NCAA tournament where three of the four 12 seeds won and lots of other occasions where at least two 12 seeds won. Keep the faith. 😊

Back on the Zips topic for a minute. Texas Tech has four big guys 6'8 6'11 6'11 and 7 ft. None of them play many valuable minutes. And with Toppin out there isn't anybody else on the team above 6'6. Zips should certainly not be at a size disadvantage.

ESPN just listed the top 50 players that could affect the NCAA tournament. #50 was Peter Suder. Not a chance he's one of the top 50 players in the tournament. He's definitely not the best player in the MAC (despite the stupid voting) and he may not even be the best player on his team. While I know the financial incentive would be good if they won, I want them bounced in the first round tonight.

So what's the head count going to Tampa? Heading there tomorrow.
