  1. Seriously... Do you think WMU can finagle an attendance number over 1000 for this one? Not that many from the cameras.
  2. Where is LZip now??
  3. What was the clock reading at the 27-4 score point? About 8 minutes left??
  4. Seventeen points IN A ROW! Whataya think of THOSE potatoes? Only problem is WMU scored the first EIGHTEEN!
  5. Eleven-in-a-row! We not out of it...yet. Are we? Someone say amen!
  6. Don't look now...Nine straight points And 1!
  7. At least we aren't Cincinnati women playing UConn!
  8. It appears there are as many fans in attendance at the MAC women's tournament in Athens as at the men's game in Kalamazoo! Poor WMU! Oh, 25-4 you say?? What 27-4?!?!
  9. I see him as a hybrid of e-man and Kosty, with more shooting range. Still something of a project.
  10. We had three impact freshmen this season (four if you include Kostelac), who would have been as good as frosh on most of Dambrot's teams. The fact that Patton played fewer minutes doesn't make him a "bust". I wouldn't write Torrey off for getting PT in future seasons. He needs to add muscle -- true of Eric and Virshon too. But I am very concerned about lack of depth -- and just plain talent in the post. Can anyone who saw Deng Riak in practice this year say he will make us much better at Center?
  11. Diego Rivera!! Maybe we should offer the teammate. If he doesn't work out in basketball, he can paint some awesome murals on campus! . And maybe he brings a Frida Kahlo along with him!
  12. I LOVE the nearly 89 pts per 40 minutes! Almost enough to ask if that's a typo.
  13. My bigger concern is whether we'll have anyone ahead of K-Lac!
  14. I noticed from early on how Jimond took Virshon under his wing and has been mentoring him. I think their on and off-court relationship will be a guide to Cotton's future with the team, and I'm confident V will be a key cog for three more years. However, we get two guards next year who could relegate him to long stretches on the bench! THAT may be an even bigger stress point for him.
  15. Damn, that passes me off! Zarek is the last Zip left in Portland, and he's languishing on the bench! There's no question Ben can play at MLS level. He had a fine season last year. Now he has to fight his way back up, which from his position could be difficult. You can consider me now semi-officially an LAFC fan!
  16. Deleted. Answer above!
  17. Akeem Miskdeem? Looks like da guy.
  18. Regarding the post-game antics, I have to watch the stteam again, but the first person I saw get involved with the other side was wearing a suit on the KSU bench. Don't know Sendhimoff's assistants, but right at the end it seemed like he started to go after someone from Akron and had to be restrained. Then, after the handshake line was almost over, he charged at Virshon, and both of them had to be grabbed. Wonder who that was? Oh, BTW, nice win! ? We finally had more left in the tank than an opponent at the end. The three foul-outs helped us out. What in the heck was Zabo trying to do on that last play (If he knocked the ball loose it would have flown out of bounds) Has he fouled out of every game he's played vs Akron?
  19. I wish to take a moment to note that I was the first one, after watching him in someone else's practice jersey to tell the Nation to keep an eye on this guy! Unfortunately, he never developed the 20-foot jumper he displayed at the University of Hawaii practice gym. But BIG credit for coming through when the team really needed him! Big <3!
  20. Malcom in the Middle. Fifth PF.
  21. Mr K-Lac needs to practice his acting. Has he shot a FT this year?
  22. Jeremy Harris is a PLAY-uh!
  23. Ivey can tie it up!!!
  24. Coach G just used his last time out, with almost fourteen minutes to play! Man, the difference in TO philosophy between last year's coach and this year's! Not to make a ...comparison between them, you know. Not that there's anything wrong with that...You know...
  25. Just for the record...This morning's paper showed the poutine kids from Niagara Falls as 16 point favorites today. 15 minutes to play...tie score!
