I'm not sure what to make of the fact that this update included no face touching or nose pulling.

Finally...Moore Information on the QB Situation
Zipmeister replied to Captain Kangaroo's topic in Akron Zips Football
Bain revisited? "Defensive tackle Oren Wilson, a transfer from Michigan State, had labrum (shoulder) surgery in October and is participating in drills, but not scrimmages." Note to staff - Please keep Oren away from the health food stores. -
Yes, but he's Canadian so at todays exchange rate he is only 19.4 American years old and may be younger by the start of next season.

do you care who they sponsor? If not, here's a link to a few thousand of them. http://www.nyse.com/about/listed/lc_ny_name.html

KD will stay as long as Zeke is here. He stayed with LeBron then got a better job. Zeke is the ticket to the next level. Really? Which Conference USA team do you predict he will go to?

I feel it's disrespectful. Like calling Kareem Abdul Jabbar Lew Alcindor, yeah his name once was Lew, but it's not anymore. Does this look like the place you went to when they called it Akron U? No, but from the size of that cup Ill bet they make good milk shakes.

Further Validation of the Zips Greatness
Zipmeister replied to Captain Kangaroo's topic in Akron Zips Basketball
When Zeke picked up the technical against Iona and his mom came down on the court and slapped that ref I really thought, at least for a second or two, we might lose that game. -
Apparently Tennessee has offered their head coaching position to the head coach at Xavier (who is thinking about it).

Congrats to the Grate One for more spot on analysis. I can only find a single moron who disagrees with you on who was the better coach last night. To listen to this idiot click on http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=310850057 and then click on "Butler on Win" in the Video play list.

I said YOUR back yard not mine. You sir, however, hint at a much better solution. An alternative way to solve the problem is for all Members of Zip Nation to withdraw all their funds from depository no lets make that all financial institutions and send it to the Zipmeister who will then bury some of the money in his back yard. The remainder may be used to entertain fast women (because the Zipmeister has always been a track fan). Zipmeister, are you saying that you race horsey faced women? Only the fast ones; I'm sure. Two points.... 1. "entertain" and "race" are not synonyms. 2. if any members of the women's track team read this, please note that it was Go and not the Meister that called you "horsey faced."

I've heard several commentators mention Smart as a top candidate for the Tennessee position. Pressure or not, that would be a great next step in his coaching career. And I don't care for OSU either.

Didn't we sign two JC linemen who I thought were going to be on campus? Wasn't one named Rizzo?Could they have stayed in JC to finish out their academic year? Please enlighten me. I need some hope to get through this upcoming year. Hopefully it's just an oversight. Could be because the lone ranger didn't make the new players list.

I'm with you. If you look closely at the MSU stadium, you will observe that unlike the Zip's facilities, no grass seating is available there.

dude, can the condascending tone....as for your question...i have no clue, but you never know here's your sign. whatever that means....if you wanna contribute pls do so,....if you wanna act like a douche...take it somewhere else OK, step outside and let's settle this like men. By the way, Eastern Europe and P.S. try Goggling "here's your sign" How do you goggle? lol seriously

What will it take for a new arena?
Zipmeister replied to MontrealExposloveZippy's topic in Akron Zips Basketball
I agree. How much would a BIG curtain cost so that we can restrict current seating to 50% of capacity and the JAR doesn't look so empty? Have you ever been to Millet Hall in Miami (OH)? What about CSU? They both have curtains and it looks terrible. Maybe, but I'm talking about a REALLY nice curtain (maybe with kangaroos on it). -

I'll start. 6. Who is going to emerge as the back-up tailback? 7. If the Zips ever get good enough to win some football memorabilia, how big a tattoo will local artist provide for each item? 8. Why can't the the Zips cheerleaders seem to slap on as much make-up as any of the cheer-leading squads in the SEC? 8a. Should the University start an "applying clown make-up" program? 9. If we are not going to pass to the tight end, shouldn't we save money and not let them use any of the sticky-finger stuff? 10. In order to get bigger defensive backs, has any consideration been given to sewing some of them together (ala The Human Centipede)? Your turn.

Where will he end up? My prediction - D2 Bellarmine (its in KY)

If Dakota Euton leaves, there is an open scholarship. Oh, did I mention that Dakota Euton IS leaving? Well, he is headed for a Div-II school. Its been confirmed. And, no, don't bother asking me to reveal my source(s). Other tip I picked up is that right now Nikola is leaning toward staying one more year. But, its not cast in concrete. Credit to DaveInGreen in an earlier post. He was right on target. How is there an extra scholarship? And why wouldn't we give it to one of our walk-ons? As for losing height, Harney and Treadwell were both 6'7" when they came in, and have had a year to grow. Who's to say they both aren't at least 6'8" by now or that they could grow an inch or more after that? Height isn't everything, anyway. Just ask J Wood. Or we could have them wear elevator shoes.

"Why recruit in Europe of China" you ask. Because that would be to hard to find on a map, I answer. I say why not recruit in Europe or China? My fault, bad grammar No problem. Compared to 98% of the big men in Europe and China that you are talking about going after you English speak good very.

He was not on the list. And if he leaves, who can blame him? The call of Eastern Europe is so compelling.
