  1. I guess "Row the Boat" has struck a chord with recruits.
  2. Love it! Good job Chandler!
  3. Yes, I am talking about the ones they used in spring drills. In the video, the pants appear to be #3 while the helmets are closer to #4.
  4. I know Ball State is no slouch, but I will be shocked if they can knock off the Huskies. Don't you think Can't's helmet color is a little off? That's not regular piss yellow, more like a dehydrated piss yellow.
  5. Check out Can't's helmets and one big surprise...
  6. Shell to WVU.
  7. My bad. Go Bucks!
  8. I am lampooning the Ohio State fans who think they play a tough schedule, specifically the ones who think the Big Ten is a tough football conference. It is not. I got an idea for you. If you want to call out people who rip on the Zips, there are plenty of targets for you on this board. Do not put words in my mouth or question my love for my university. If you will re-read my post, I think you will plainly see the only schools mentioned are Indiana, Illinois, Purdue, Minnesota, Rutgers & Maryland. My esteemed colleague ZipsWin! mentioned North Central Florida Christian Academy. Try again.
  9. Absolutely! We could make that one an awesome road trip.
  10. I guess I remember DB1 a little differently...
  11. Media days are here. That means the countdown to the 2013 season is in the stretch run. The first tailgate will be here before you know it. I want to know if people want to compile the beer list again. I think it is a lot of fun, but don't want to push the issue if others have grown tired of it. We did a really crummy job of documenting all the delicious beers we enjoyed drinking last year. (We were having too much fun) If the usual list of suspects wants to do this again, I will be happy to do all of the list compiling. So, chime in here Lot 9. Let me know what you think. I would also like to encourage those who have not yet participated in the list to add their 2¢. If the survey says proceed, I will try to see if I can generate any interest with other MAC tailgaters to accept a "Tailgating Beers Challenge".
  12. Geeeeeeezzzzz. Stop ragging on OSU for scheduling cupcakes for non-conference games. When you play the meat grinder schedule of Indiana, Purdue, Minnesota & Illinois you can't get too beat up in your 1st 4 games. And the B1G sked is just going to get even tougher once the twin juggernauts of Maryland and Rutgers join next year. How loaded of a schedule to you want Ol Urb to play?
  13. Quick! Everybody break out your Deryn Bowser replica jerseys!
  14. And here we all thought we were getting hosed on the scheduling by Buffalo's absence.
  15. Coach Bowden will have the Zips playing in Detroit before 2020. The Zips are going 4-8 this year and next year they will win the East. So see about making up some Vision 2014 posters but not for restrooms. Restroom promos should be limited only to ones like we saw at Huron Point Tavern before the MAC Semifinal game. Those who know what I am talking about will agree THAT was a worthy promotion. Some probably even have a picture of it on their phone commemorating it. GO ZIPS!
  16. Does "Old Grand Dad for the win" count as tradition? How about chanting K.S.U.C.K.S. when we sing Hey, UA? Marching A is a pretty cool tradition in my book. Also, I don't think very many teams have 2 fight songs like we do...(or am I the only one that counts Win for Akron as fight song #2?) One thing I think should become tradition is "Cowbell Go Zips" with the entire Info crowd stomping out the beat. That would be great.
  17. Why would UA want to schedule YSU? It's a no-win situation for the Zips. When they grow a pair and go D-1A, we can resume the Steel Tire game. Until then, piss on 'em.
  18. ZipGrad01's world-famous grilled shrimp are destined to become a great Akron tradition, I think.
  19. I'm bullish on Boxen! Keep the momentum rollin' baby!
  20. GP1 is not the only one talking about spring football. Last week on XM91 the discussion turned to future realignment. The guest (can't remember who), opined that the next move was a BCS breakaway. He said the powers.that be are.just trying to figure out how to do it and the biggest stumbling block was the issue of the NCAA basketball tournament. He thought the split was inevitable, though and that when it happens the rest of the Non-BCS conferences should play in the Spring. Host Chris Childers thought the idea was great and that there would be huge interest in a spring league.
