Being an old timer, I recall a Lee Owens team starting off a season something like 0-7, with horrific QB play, and Lee pulled Greg Gromek’s redshirt. And the Zips won their last 4 games.

 

I’m hanging myself in my basement using a crudely assembled noose right now, so I can’t verify that exactly. But that was my late-90’s recollection.
