Well, played like **** for 3/4s of the half and only down 4.

Zips really need to clean up that defense in the second half.  They gave up waaaaaaaaay too many easy baskets.

Thorton looks like he just cannot drive to the basket.  He starts heading that way and then stops.  We need our guards to step up on the double team.  We have seen some outside shooting Tavari, Hunter, and some inside moves from Ali.  This needs to be a team effort and the Madison defense seems to have some of our guys afraid to penetrate.

So far, this is the hardest playing defensive opponent the Zips have seen this season along with St. Bonaventure.

Both physically strong as well. I think we are getting bumped off our spots too much.

I never thought I’d say I miss cable. But I miss cable. What a mess. My daughter has an older TV with only a couple apps. None useful. Played hell getting it on my tablet. But I tuned in just as the Zips got going so there’s that.

Thornton led the MAC in assists and is always near the top in assist to turnover ratio.  His ball handing is fine.  He's just not a great penetrator or very explosive, talents possessed by Tavari.   It's all about timing and matchups with those two.
