Let'sGoZips94 Posted February 10, 2024 Report Posted February 10, 2024 MUCH better. Love this run. Great coaching by Groce to get the guys to refocus and reorganize. 1 Quote
Reslife4Life Posted February 10, 2024 Report Posted February 10, 2024 'Ol Reliable: Greg Tribble "floater" 2 Quote
zipsrule Posted February 10, 2024 Report Posted February 10, 2024 Another defensive breakdown. WAY too many easy layups given up. Quote
zipsrule Posted February 10, 2024 Report Posted February 10, 2024 Bad possession, but we get a foul called. Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted February 10, 2024 Author Report Posted February 10, 2024 (edited) Well, played like **** for 3/4s of the half and only down 4. Zips really need to clean up that defense in the second half. They gave up waaaaaaaaay too many easy baskets. Edited February 10, 2024 by clarkwgriswold 3 Quote
1981 grad Posted February 10, 2024 Report Posted February 10, 2024 Thorton looks like he just cannot drive to the basket. He starts heading that way and then stops. We need our guards to step up on the double team. We have seen some outside shooting Tavari, Hunter, and some inside moves from Ali. This needs to be a team effort and the Madison defense seems to have some of our guys afraid to penetrate. Quote
Reslife4Life Posted February 10, 2024 Report Posted February 10, 2024 We have to hit free throws if we want to win this one Quote

Both physically strong as well. I think we are getting bumped off our spots too much. Quote
Spin Posted February 11, 2024 Report Posted February 11, 2024 I never thought I’d say I miss cable. But I miss cable. What a mess. My daughter has an older TV with only a couple apps. None useful. Played hell getting it on my tablet. But I tuned in just as the Zips got going so there’s that. Quote
dirtyolcrowe Posted February 11, 2024 Report Posted February 11, 2024 I think Tavari has to play more. He’s a better ball handler than Thornton. 2 Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted February 11, 2024 Author Report Posted February 11, 2024 Thornton led the MAC in assists and is always near the top in assist to turnover ratio. His ball handing is fine. He's just not a great penetrator or very explosive, talents possessed by Tavari. It's all about timing and matchups with those two. 1 Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted February 11, 2024 Author Report Posted February 11, 2024 27% shooting/8 turnovers to 3 assists. Quote
Reslife4Life Posted February 11, 2024 Report Posted February 11, 2024 Solid possession here lets get the lead Quote
1981 grad Posted February 11, 2024 Report Posted February 11, 2024 Tribble is taking the ball inside and making tough shots. Dawson was open on the wing and Tribble just took it to the hoop. He is playing like he wants it bad. Love watching him play. 1 Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted February 11, 2024 Author Report Posted February 11, 2024 I like the extra guard coming in the for the Zips with either Dawson or Hunter going to the bench. Quote
LZIp Posted February 11, 2024 Report Posted February 11, 2024 Thornton needs to stop shooting the ball. 2 Quote
Reslife4Life Posted February 11, 2024 Report Posted February 11, 2024 Someone has to make a three, come on Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted February 11, 2024 Report Posted February 11, 2024 Green never sees the ball the rest of the game. Gotta take him out of this game. Quote
1981 grad Posted February 11, 2024 Report Posted February 11, 2024 They will keep doubling us inside until we can make a wide open 3. 1 Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted February 11, 2024 Author Report Posted February 11, 2024 Bad switch on Green left Enrique on him and they never switched it back. Quote
