Also, there is some decent Zips gear with the "A" on sale at Dick's Sporting Goods.   50% off.  It's the "colliseum" brand and not the "nike" merchandise.

I finally got mine too.  My Zippy football Bobblehead is definately fatter, but the quality is nice.

I really hated the "Z" logo.  Does Miami use "R" or BG use "F" or Ohio a "B."

Some of the new stuff on there.  I didn't mind the Z as it was different.  I really hated the script Akron.

BG uses a logo that incorporates their Falcon.

OU incorporates their Bobcat.

I liked the A with the Kangaroo head.  That was the best.  Changing that to a Z made no sense.

But then again it's also doesn't make sense that Groce hasn't found a viable back up big.

The RubberDucks actually do have an A logo believe it or not, and I bet you can guess the popularity of their 3 main logos

I could support that. My objection to the A (and like of the Z) is uniqueness. I just was scrolling across on ESPN+ to see if the Zips were available tomorrow and ran across Army and App State that at a quick glance could have been Akron. Just doesn't stand out. But the tire tread A? Would the Rubberducks sell? 😉

The Tread A is the least popular logo of the RubberDucks by a long shot. Kinda my point was when you have something as unique as the RubberDucks you gotta use the logo that is a rubberduck not a letter. Akron is the Zips, and we have a kangaroo mascot, both super unique things! Personally my favorite logo is the Z, I am not a huge fan of the A roo logo mostly because I think the kangaroo face is poorly done as I think it is hard to distinguish where the eyes are and what the nose is doing. I do like the idea of having a kangaroo logo. But if UA really wanted to make it a community thing, maybe we should try and use some of those community aspects in the logo instead of just a letter that can be made by using graph paper and a straight edge.

UA really needs a merch upgrade, splattering the generic A on everything isn't the answer. The Ducks team shop has so many sweet items and designs, maybe UA could take some notes. Also, the new lake county captains logo is how a new logo should be, its just beautiful.
