His status is probably up in the air due to the court battles.

Absolutely, but it's interesting to see him vs Evan, who is on our roster and has been in photos posted from practice.

Cincy has 14 transfers including 3 MAC guys in Calhoun's first year. Very curious to see how Eric and Amani do in Big12 play.

I personally think Amani has a chance to make a name for himself this season at Cincy. He showed he could play against P4 size in our tournament game and I imagine Cincy will utilize him in his more natural PF position.

Eric I'm guessing will be a piece off the bench this upcoming season, but has the skill set to develop into something special with time.

Hopefully better than Nate.

I am happy that Scott is in the G league but confused why he did not sign for more money with a college program.  The G league pays their players $45,000 for a 6 month season.  Amani Lyles signed with Cinn and I am sure he received more than $45,000.  I thought Scott would find another college program that would pay him more than the G league.  This eligibility issue is tough to follow but if Lyles has an extra year so would Scott.

Scott is part of a different high school graduating class. He graduated in 2021 while Lyles and Evan geaduated in 2022. He already played 5 years. 1 year of JUCO and 4 years of D1. Evan and Lyles only played 4.

It's pretty exciting that we have three former Zips active in the G League right now - Enrique Freeman (Iowa/Minnesota), Shammah Scott (Texas/Dallas), and Nate Johnson (OKC).

The Charge host Iowa on 11/17 and 11/28. It would be cool if we can get a big Akron contingent up there to cheer him on.

Eric (13 minutes) and Amani (8 minutes) came off the bench last night for Cincinnati. Tavari started for Charleston, with 4 points and 7 assists in 20 minutes. Sharron had 13 and 6 in 23 minutes off the bench for WKU.

I’m really interested to see how Sharron does at WKU. I did not understand him transferring to a CUSA school, and to come off the bench doesn’t make a whole lot of sense

I think @Hilltopper or someone else already stated the reason previously. Akron wanted him back, but not at the price he was asking. WKU either had more money or viewed him more highly than we did so were willing to pay more.

I think we came out just fine with Oriol and Steveskie instead.

Shammah Scott did not make the Texas Legends' final G League roster. He is now a free agent.

Enrique Freeman was waived by Minnesota and is a free agent as well.

Nate Johnson made the OKC Blue G League roster.

Bring them home, Cleveland Charge.

The Cavs/Charge swooped in and grabbed the player Minnesota was trying to sign to replace Enrique, which is kind of funny.
