Ham Posted October 2 Report Posted October 2 If Finley was still nursing an injury from the Duke game, why weren't the back ups better prepared? Toledo might have the best D in the MAC. A single dimension O was going to go no where. Our offensive genius could have come up with a back up plan to use Roggow and Johnson. Even at the same time. 👹 Quote

Even at the same time. 👹 If Florida Atlantic, Syracuse, and Penn State couldn't prepare Johnson to be a starting QB, it's asking a lot for Joe to do it. 😁 Ruggow is a redshirt freshman, so one week of prep isn't going to give him a fighting chance of beating a team like Toledo. We ride or die with Finley. Assuming he's healthy I expect a win this weekend. If he isn't, we'll punt a lot and lose by 24. 3 Quote

The question really isn't whether or not they can compete, because we're long past the Zips trying to do that - the question is...is the cost savings of dropping to FCS worth the loss in revenues from TV and such, since the beatings are going to happen either way?
