Groce mentions Big Dog a lot as far as Akron greats go.

Zeke especially since I believe he is retired from basketball. I could see LCJ's schedule being too busy during the season to honor him at the moment.

This is going to expose me as a filthy casual, but I see that the below scholarship players (according to the chart on the recruiting board) did not play tonight.

 

Can someone tell me which of these guys are injured, redshirting this year, or DNP-CD?

Eric played. Not sure what is going on with Cody.

 

Groce said Barre and Brisco will be used, but this match-up didn't necessitate it. Said MM earned his minutes by his performance in practice.

I have a white board in my office at work and I have the entire zip opponent list written out and I’ll update it everytime I’m in the office. (Format is record and Kenpom) We know the MAC did extremely well with a 9-4 day but our OOC did great also. They went 4-0 (other than JMU ofc) Zips jump up to 87 in KenPom also

Zachary Halligan - actually played for about 20 seconds last night
Cody Head - we all want the scoop on Cody. Who knows? 
Halil Barre - DNP
Rich Brisco - DNP
Eric Mahaffey - played and started and I believe was in the game to close it out
Tai Perkins - redshirting so won't play this season
Josh Henderson - redshirting so won't play this season

My uninformed opinion is Groce was like honest with him and told him it was going to be challenging for him to earn minutes given our depth at guard. Probably gave him the option of mop up duty or preserving a year of eligibility.
