As Zips fans I think we might want to start worrying a bit more about that game on 11-11. A team that gets a positive jolt like that can be really dangerous.

Obviously they can lose this because it is still Akron.

 

But with what seems like a little progress in the past few weeks, the Zips can not afford to lose this game.

Kent State lost to Ball State tonight. The Ball State quarterback had an off night so the game appeared to be Kent’s for the taking. But it’s Kent- multiple penalties. The real difference, however, was a long series of questionable decisions bordering on outright stupid by the KSU coaching staff. One would conclude that they must have gone to PCCC. We can not count on their repeating that many stupid moves in a single game. We will have to play better than Ball State did to beat them.

Watched a lot of the KSU/Testicle Tech game. Slow night. KSU offense seemed pretty limited. Akron 'should' win unless...they don't show up ready to play and let KSU get some momentum, unless they commit turnovers and give KSU short fields, unless they get drawn in to stupid penalties like personal fouls etc. and unless Moorehead forgets that he has one of the best RBs in the MAC in Gant and tries to put the game on Finley.

The defense should be able to control things enough to limit KSUs scoring opportunities.

But, again all bets are off if they do those things noted above.

Lt. Governor Tressel has some type of fitness challenge going on. Free tickets to kids and their families. Hopefully we get a good turnout.

Kent State has to be the most overhyped 3-win team to ever exist. I'm so sick of hearing about this apparently miraculous program turnaround.

I saw on Facebook that they're offering BOGO tickets. Looks like it's in the reserved sections. About $21 for two tickets.

Considering we have a legitimate question to who would win - last year's Kent or this year's UMass...and they have a lot of the same roster...it's really not all that overhyped.

 

But yeah, let's just Zippy go win by 30 anyways thanks.
