Zips1991 Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago I guess the good news is we played poorly and are still up 4 on the road. Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Akron could easily get an additional $1M every year if CBS/ESPN sold 20 minutes of ads for halftime instead of paying someone to produce whatever that garbage was. 1 Quote
Zippy87 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago 37 of our 46 points from Tavari/Amani so far Quote
ZipsFan31 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Thank god for Tavari and Amani. They have 37 of our 46 points. Can they carry us to a road win 1 Quote

Illini Zip Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Barre is in the game for 30 seconds and gets called for a foul. 🤦♂️ Quote

AkronAlumnus Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Weird seeing the IU trident in Ball State's gym Quote

Illini Zip Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago (edited) I can’t believe that we are sooooo bad guarding the arc that everyone can have great shooting percentages against us. Edited 16 hours ago by Illini Zip 1 Quote
UAZippers Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago I really don't like how Akron started wasting time and barely running an offense with more than 5 minutes left. With how poor of a first half we had, I feel like we could have used the extra time to keep up momentum. 1 Quote

Illini Zip Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Other than 1 nice block, didn’t see much from Barre again. Quote

They score 5 points less a game than any other MAC team and that also impacts the opponent's pace. Edited 15 hours ago by clarkwgriswold Quote

I'm sure they will have a practice between now and Tuesday. Quote

Did I say the win sucked? I'm sure they will have practice, but so what? Is Groce wrong for saying they played terribly in the first half, and they have a lot to work on? To be clear, I was not criticizing the players for the slow down at the end. It was very clear that it was a deliberate choice to slow down and hold the ball. I disagree with that choice. I also believe that Groce and his staff know way more about the game of basketball than I do. I just made a comment on a message board. Trust me, I understand that I am fortunate to be a fan a very high-quality Mid-major basketball team. That doesn't mean that I don't want to see them perform to their best throughout a game. 1 Quote
ZIPS96 Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago We are 36-2 in our last 38 MAC games, something that we will probably never see again. I trust the coaches know what they are doing and can’t wait to go see another win in the JAR Tuesday! 1 Quote
csims0917 Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago There’s very few teams you can go to a home game and expect a win every time. Only other example I can think of is Ohio state football Quote

GP1 Posted 52 minutes ago Report Posted 52 minutes ago Good game by the Zips. Probably didn't start out exactly how they wanted, but road games are unpredictable. Quote
