  1. Past hour
  2. that's great for McManus. He was very well liked by the players. JRod really knows his stuff. I have never met him but the way his players transferred this year to Programs is a heck of a recruiting platform...
  3. I'll be honest, I didn't know there was a set max number of games. I just kinda thought everyone played around 30.
  4. McManus to Auburn https://247sports.com/player/kenneth-mcmanus-iv-46144546/college-343013/
  5. It should be noted that next season the NCAA regular season is expanding from a max 31 games to 32. That would mean teams would have to sacrifice 3 non-conference games, not 4 from our current total in order to have a 22 game conference schedule.
  6. Those four plus Stephens, Gould, and potentially Barthelemy.
  7. Today
  8. Looks like a lot of the OL signings are interior guys. Where do we stand with OT? Jones/Faulkner/Shor/Mann?
  9. I missed that one, good catch.
  10. Congratulations to Beto… …“Gui and Beto played important roles in our success last season, and we’re excited to reward them with new contracts. We expect them to remain key pieces within the group for years to come,” Sporting Director Dan Visser said. Ydrach, 24, famously netted the clinching penalty kick in the Hounds’ shootout win over FC Tulsa to secure the league title, and he also headed the game-winning goal in the team’s U.S. Open Cup victory over New York City FC in the Round of 32 last year. A Puerto Rico international with 17 appearances for his national team, Ydrach started 27 of the Hounds’ 29 regular-season matches as a rookie out of the University of Akron. …
  11. Pretty sure he’s being brought in to compete at Nickel. Reminds me of Darrian Lewis.
  12. Chabi also still has the splint on his hand
  13. The DB/CB commits are rolling in quick!
  14. Just saw shootaround photos on IG and Sharron was involved. Doesn't mean he's playing today but it's a good sign for the near-term.
  15. So we lost to #'s 4 and 25 on the road, and the latter was close and we should have won.
  16. I hadn't thought of the potential of getting attendance from those in the area for the holidays. But it's also tough to find teams to schedule during the holidays as there's simply fewer games being played. Most games during that week between Christmas and New Year's seem to be against non-D1 teams.
  17. If we play the full 40 minutes, we win. If not, we lose. It's really that simple against teams that have lesser but still moderate talent, especially when playing in Canada.
  18. We could easily (and should) drop the non-D1 games we seem to play every year. They are a complete waste of time, and it's embarrassing that we count them in our win-loss total when they are not fair competition. I wanted to attend a Zips game when I was in the Akron area for the holidays, but the only game scheduled was against Concord, which is a total waste of time. I didn't even bother to listen on the radio/internet.
  19. And how sad is it that we didn't win that game on a short FG that literally I could make?!
  20. IU had some good teams in the late 80s with star RB Anthony Thompson, beating Tosu once or twice in that era.
  21. Kent opened as 1.5 point favorites against Miami for tonight's game but that has since flipped and Miami is 1.5 point favorites. A Kent win is best for us in terms of a potential regular season title but it also means Kent would beat a top 25 team which you never want to see.
  22. Robert is off the injury report and Reid is listed as questionable. Guessing if Reid is out, Freeman will be in the active roster tonight.
  23. I just checked their roster and they have one player on injured reserve and 2 players injured that are game day decisions. I also hope he will finally get to suit up.
  24. Playing international games is always a challenge 😉
  25. My son gets an athletic digest. In it, it said about Indiana - "A program that had been the worst in Power 4 history and the losingest in FBS history just won the national title two years after getting dragged into quadruple overtime by 2-10 Akron,"
