  1. Past hour
  2. Underwood played at Kansas State and was an assistant coach there under Huggins and then Frank Martin. Underwood and Martin have the same personality. Like someone pee’d in their cornflakes. I’m not really a fan of either. Maybe Underwood takes the K-State job because of his familiarity with the program, but I have to think the move from Illinois to K-State is a lateral move at best.
  3. Zips favored by 13.5 with an O/U of 160.5
  4. Today
  5. Brad Underwood always looks like he's 75 years old and coming off of a bender. Sprinkle likely needs a little more seasoning at Utah State. Shertz is a possibility. I'd drive Travis to Manhattan.
  6. Notice on Groce's lapel there are pins representing important people to him who died recently (I think). Somehow, I don't see Travis doing that.
  7. Wouldn't even need to be THAT desperate. But yes, the MAC should be talking to anyone and everyone that might be interested right now.
  8. What a laughable good deal in favor of MAC schools. Anyone else out there this desperate to get to the FBS level? The MAC is open for business!
  9. "It smells like victory"
  10. Yeah, it's got to be something in that realm. The only thing for the MAC here...this can't be it. You got a little lifeline, see what we can get from it.
  11. You're talking about the state capital for the 5th largest economy in the world. Between politicians, lobbyists, and others in area trying to buy influence there is probably retarded amounts of money floating around the area. Not to mention outside the Sacramento Kings there is very little local sports competition.
  12. Yes, that sounds like an even better deal than what was first publicized.
  13. This is where I insert the Will Smith gif with caption "get my bleep coaches name out of your bleeping mouth"
  14. They very much must have had some benefactor that REALLY wanted in FBS. Still strange, though.
  15. Maybe he can throw us a bone and schedule us
  16. R.I.P. Me. Go Zips!
  17. What a weird move for Sac State.
  18. This exact photo will be used all offseason "predicting" which coaches will leave
  19. I actually see no reason why we wouldn't take this deal
  20. I would think there is a very real possibility that the Cincinnati job opens up. Given that's where his trust fund wife is from and they just built a multi-million dollar home in Cincinnati I imagine that would be his preferred destination.
  21. Travis Steele is mentioned as a candidate for KState in an ON3 newletter email I received. I'd imagine he may have several opportunities to move after this season.
  22. For us gray haired Zips fans: How many of these sports reporters do you remember?
  23. The big question here...is the MAC done? While it feels kinda ridiculous, this is the first remotely proactive thing the MAC has done in a long long time...are they trying to use some of this extra funding to pilfer CUSA? There are multiple teams there that would make sense, and adding schools that "matter" even a little bit could help the MAC stave off the Sun Belt. That next TV deal is probably going to be vitally important...is it just going to be the "same old same old" with the crappy midweek games, or is the MAC going to try and find other broadcasters that need content (and want college football)? Be a very very interesting couple years here.
  24. Close, but it's from a different Arby's, taken myself 😂
  25. I wasn’t crazy about the idea at first either. Going back to Illinois. Watching your point guard dribbling down the clock to make sure there is only time for his last shot and maybe a quick tip-in is nerve wrecking. I have seen his point guards pass out of double teams and not take that last shot themselves, but it’s often not a drawn up play coming out of a time out. Other than maybe spreading everyone out, etc.
  26. When that option was Ali, that drove me nuts. Even when it did work out against WMU at the jar I still didn’t trust it
