I believe Scott got locked up with one of their freshmen as time expired. Both hit the ground. And both charged with a technical foul, but no shots taken.
-
What’s the story with the scuffle?
-
Need a fast start. Hopefully that scuffle at the end of the half lights a fire into our guys in a good way.

Halligan came in and spurred the Zips rally with some really good defense. He was fighting through the screens and would not let his man drive to the basket. Groce was switching him in for defense. With Barre and him on the floor at the same time you could see the difference in defense. I would like to see them get more playing time in the 2nd half.
-
What else is on TV?
-
Adjustments are needed
-
Barre is blocking shots.
-
I’m getting a good feeling about this game!
-
Massive run! My game cast was just zips zips zips zips (I hate relying on game cast)
-
Anyone eagerly anticipating tonights bowl game of Washington vs. Boise St?The Bucked Up LA Bowl (which is not how I read it initially).
-
I got the feeling early when Joe told me that the Zips coaches thought Murray State was more talented than Yale.
-
Washington vs. NC State for the Championship. Two power conference schools. Feel like the Zips would have matched up well with either. Darn it. To make myself feel better I went back and looked at the National Championship program, surprised to see that Akron had about 10000 more students than either Louisville or North Carolina back then.
-
We're just not a good defensive team when we're not generating turnovers.
-
Might be the 10 point deficit?
-
They have been able to drive the ball on us. And when they get the ball underneath, we have doubled leading to open shooters at the 3 line. We can play with anyone but need to hit our open shots.
-
I didn't like when I heard on the audio feed that Murray State has tons of NIL available.
-
This game just has a bad feel to it.
-
We are getting beat up on the boards. Need to be tougher under the rim. One good thing about the feed, no commercials. Maybe we will not have so many stops in the action
- Today
-
Sounds like the Yale game so far. Defense optional.
-
I just bought access to the game. I thought it was an app I could watch on my tv but it looks like I need to watch through the computer. Arena looks empty for the first game. Picture looks decent.
-
Back to back wins for UMass vs ACC teams. At one point, UMass was up by 18 pts late in the game.
-
You know concord is gonna come in to the jar one of these years guns a blazin ready to knock us off!
-
UMass beat FSU!!!
-
The real trap game is the Eastern Michigan game as they look forward to Concord.

Kent had, in some cases, multiple degrees for the same subject area. Most of the subject areas are still available but without multiple degree designations (i. e. B.A vs B.S.). They are not eliminating nine study areas. They are, however, still Kant State and offering many degrees without viable career paths and without the intern, coop, research, club groups that create opportuntunies that have become a signature feature of many of Akron's options. Note the last edition of Zip Insider where Allen, the pole vaulter with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and now pursuing a Master's in statistics mentioned the importance of internships even with the stem degrees she is getting. The importance of having degrees in job-oriented fields with good experience opportunities was also cited in this week's Board meeting by the Provost as being a factor in the increased number of 2027 applications even with a smaller student pool. She mentioned that Akron is doing a better job of telling that story to prospective students and finding more who are listening to that set of factors in their decision making. I hope that is true because students need to consider these items. Students too often pick colleges for insane reasons. Akron needs to continue down this road of making their degrees produce job-ready graduates in as high a percentage as possible. GO ZIPS!
