  1. Past hour
  2. Actually, i have a beautiful salt and pepper head of hair. But thanks for caring.
  3. If Balls can get going, they're going to make that 7/8 seed race very messy. The MAC is very much improved this year, but the separation between the top 3-4 and the rest of the conference is as vast as it has been since the Oats Buffalo days.
  4. I'm more concerned with his mom!
  5. But what are they gonna do with the other 1,000 shirts? 😆
  6. Today
  7. I've never met you but it sounds like youre bald. 😉
  8. Frank Martin is what a school gets when they either have no imagination or nobody else wants the job. He had two really good years at SC then the wheels fell off the bus. His time at Kansas State was average. His time at UMass is bad. They should fire him.
  9. It definitely sounds like Boals is more on the hot seat than TK. Multiple threads asking for him to be canned. The UT board not so much. I've heard every excuse from injuries to how its unfair since Akron/Kent is 30 minutes away (even though Toledo to Cleveland <2hrs, easily drivable) to how Cleveland is all luck. They all seem like apologists who are content with the regular season and attendance banners. Edit: Frank Martin IMO should also be canned. His program is spending more than double all other MAC school (excluding Akron) but he's still coaching a bottom half MAC team. If I was the boosters paying his hefty salary and giving him something in the neighborhood of $2 million NIL I would be irate with his performance. He's still surviving on 1 single NCAA Tourney run that occurred ~10 years ago.
  10. If the goal is to compete for and win conference championships, they don’t look like the right fit anymore.
  11. 2500 shirts for the Blue Out!
  12. It was my hot take that both Todd K and Boals would be canned by the end of the year. We will see if either happen
  13. I’m still hoping Barre can return and stay healthy so we can maximize our potential heading down the stretch.
  14. Tavari - 24 points in 29 minutes, without a three pointer (he only shot one), and was 10-13 from the floor. Wow. Thats what senior leadership looks like. Ohio might want to take note.
  15. As good as we played tonight, I still think this team has room for improvement. We did not shoot the ball well from three and we gave up 10 offensive rebounds. It appeared to me we rebounded better in the first half and we had numerous players crashing the boards. Also, we only shot 76% from the foul line. I thought Ohio had a lot of open looks from three but could not make the shots. Tavari was just unstoppable tonight. Lyles also had another strong game, especially on the boards and around the basket. Also, I have noticed when a team goes on a run, a player will just shut it down. Scott made a contested three and the lead shot up from 14 to 17. It seems all season that when a team mounts a comeback an Akron player will make a difficult shot even where there is good defense.
  16. It's a wonderful read. Shoutout to the announcers tonight. Miami OH fans watching the game had to be pissed hearing them essentially say Akron is still the class of the MAC despite the Sweaters being undefeated. Cleveland will be fun.
  17. Boals is a good coach. Sometime a good coach and his message has run it's course. This looks to be the case to me.
  18. IDK...when Hadaway is all u got it doesn't bode well. I mean he wouldn't start or be papa John's sub of the game for Groce. Elmore James chose to play for Mike Lewis instead of Boals. That should tell you something.
  19. hair comes from the mom's side.
  20. Umass wins at Buffalo. Now the bulls are out of the top 8. Just weird
  21. I just took a look at their message board and it’s…not good lol.
  22. Did anyone attend the watch party tonight?
  23. You can't spell lousy without OU!
  24. I know we controlled the whole game, but the crowd was not as rowdy as usual. More to your point that Boal’s seat might be getting warm.
  25. The Toledo Rockets come to the JAR Tuesday night to face the Zips. The Rockets are 10-9 going into Saturday’s rivalry game against Bowling Green. 6’1” junior guard Sonny Wilson leads the Rockets at 17.4 ppg. 6’1” freshman guard Leroy Blyden, Jr. scores 15.4 ppg. 6’7” senior forward Sean Craig scores 12.8 ppg while leading the team in rebounding at 7.9 rpg.
  26. Lets go! 2/4 on this tough stretch, Jam the Jar on Tuesday!
