Not the score I was hoping to wake up to this morning - nonetheless, good for the MAC!!

I find it hard to believe that Michigan does not have (let's say) 15 players available to compete. Or perhaps their recently built field is unplayable due to weather. And I too wonder how this affects the Spring "league". My guess is that Michigan forfeits the match.

Stick to walk on big men

Also, we witnessed tonight why traditional big men are a waste of money in the NIL era. Shooters are a much, MUCH better value.

Any MAC team win is a plus for all MAC teams

Miami OH's game on Friday should be the last time we see any of these guys play or coach for Miami OH. Steele just earned himself any job he wants, including his Alma Mater Butler.

You can add Steele to that list too.

Steele out coached Enfield. Miami was always one step ahead in their adjustments offensively. SMU never was able to bully Miami on the inside outside of the first few minutes of each half.

Thank you SMU, Enfield, and the Selection Committee for gifting Miami OH a win and Akron/the MAC a nice payday (to Miami OH's credit, they took it). Go take care of business on Friday, Zips.

The MAC is rolling in the money now. With Sac State joining, Miami making the tournament and winning a game, they are making a significant amount more than they thought a year ago when they were doing the budget

They have some talent. Just don't seem well coached. They spent all of maybe 5 minutes this game feeding their bigs the ball in the low post, which allowed them to erase the half-time deficit. They then abandoned what worked. Miami is baiting them into playing their style of play and it's working for Miami.

Back on the Zips topic for a minute. Texas Tech has four big guys 6'8 6'11 6'11 and 7 ft. None of them play many valuable minutes. And with Toppin out there isn't anybody else on the team above 6'6. Zips should certainly not be at a size disadvantage.
