I also need to add that we're extremely fortunate for our Zips Men's Soccer players who have committed to Akron thanks to Jared and staff. We have a number of players who have been here for 4-5 years; others who have come in and given us 3 remaining years; and others who have come in and made a difference with less remaining eligibility. Agreed @Let'sGoZips94. I've been critical in the recent past, but the college landscape has changed significantly, and Jared and staff continue to adapt. We are extremely fortunate for their commitment. I did not see Hattie on the 2025 roster. Did she commit as a junior and still had a year od HS? Also I am curious as to which club she played for? Women's soccer in the Mansfield area is not considered that challenging and to get her ready for D1 soccer she should get experience with a top club. Perhaps we will see her on the roster this Fall. I loved that she wanted to be at Akron. She felt at home and recognized the upward trajectory the women's program was focused on.

I'm not sure what would make the UMass job so terrible. I would understand it if they were still independent. Also, who voted for Boise State as one of toughest G5 jobs? Lol

He also almost doubled the salary of the the admin he was having relations with. She was making over $90k. How many Akron coaches are making that?

According to The Athletic (via NY Times) today, Akron is the #5 worst NCAA BCS football head coaching job, based on limited resources, unappealing city/location, campus/culture, and academics. Kent is worse.

Saturday is a very fun slate. Akron v Murray State UMass v Florida State CMU v Stony Brook (old buddy Geno Ford) Toledo v Robert Morris Ohio v St. Bonnie in Cleveland Miami OH and NIU also play but their games don't count in the "very fun" category.

This has been the type of game we lose and plummet in the rankings. This game could be the difference between 11-12 and 12-13 seed in the long run if we are at 28-29 wins instead of 30. I like this Murray St roster a lot but they are still brand new. Need to beat them with experience, chemistry and defense!!!
