This team is awesome. Whitesell blows. Onto Toledo, big one for the Zippers! Great effort all around. Weathered the storm beautifully and answered with one of their own. I guess the only question I have left is how many MAC tournament MVPs will Nate Johnson win in his career? I kid…2 points

The thing that bothers me is that the quote makes it obvious people knew what was up and nothing happened. I have to hope only Zeke knew and he didn't know how to handle it as a 21 year old. Nick Harney may be my least favorite Zip of all time. The glaringly bad attitude he displayed on a nightly basis was maddening. Tree...Harney...Abreu...let's not forget Diggs. Yikes, that damn wound is still open 10 years later!! Wouldn't it be nice if every player was like Enrique?2 points

Zips split the series against Western Carolina this weekend. Strong showing, much better than I expected with the turmoil over the winter. Apparently this is proof Spuds WAS the problem. Next up another weekend roadie to Dixieland to play 3 against Elon. The weekday games start up on mid-March against Dayton, Michigan, the Worthless Nuts, and old rivals Marshall and Youngstown State. come on spring!!!1 point

If we play as well as we did against Kent and Buffalo than this game will be a toss up. We need contributions from everyone on the team. If Nate, Hankerson, and Hunter contribute on offense we should score into the 70s and have a chance to win. We know what we can get from X and Freeman, we need the supporting cast to step up. If they double and triple Freeman down low, we need to hit the 3 point shots. We control our destiny. If we win out, we win the MAC and get a one seed. That makes the tournament a lot easier since we would avoid Kent and Toledo until the finals if we advance that far.1 point

Agreed. Josh Hallenberger had a standout game, as well. Newcomer Alejandro Varela (#8) (nickname Nano, I believe as Will Jackson introduced him to me) started and played well. Very happy to meet Nano and get a look at him in action. Great seeing David Egbo. Agreed that he likely won't read this, but it would be great to see him again next Sunday at Robert Morris.1 point

I think Jackson was told before the season (and was mentioned on here) that she was on borrowed time. So, in true anonymous message board fashion, I'm going to speculate and say that GoZips10 believes that the piling up bad losses will justify a decision made a long time ago.1 point

From the Bulls Board: 2 hours ago, Tee4three said: UB needs to avoid Akron at all costs in Cleveland Think UB could beat anyone else with their best game, Akron I'm not sure Was just thinking the same thing. For some reason we play Kent tight but Akron just seems to thrive against us1 point

Groce's interview after game...again spoke about "coachability." Carry is not coachable. From what I hear on the board and elsewhere is that Mr. Pinky doesn't say boo to Carry during the game. Would love to see Bobby Knight (even though I was never a fan) slide Insincere across the floor after one of his dances.1 point

Very competitive match. And Zips were missing some key players. It was cold. Standout for Zips was (no surprise) Joel Sangwa. Highmark is a beautiful venue. Shoutout to David Egbo for showing! (He will never read this.)1 point

*Rockets *Setric *Millner Clark is drunk on 20-point beatdowns of Buffalo! Just messing with you, thanks for always getting these threads together. This could be the game that decides MAC POY. I think it’s between Dennis and X. Carry’s efficiency isn’t there so unless he really goes off, I don’t see him being in the running. Freeman with an outside shot too.1 point

I really enjoyed how the Zips played tonight. They started out hot from beyond the 3 line and when they cooled off in the 2nd half it did not make a difference. Both Hankerson and Nate penetrated tonight and scored inside. If Nate can become a 3rd scorer and Hankerson starts driving to the basket this team can really be good. I thought the defense was good and we killed them on the boards the first half and had about 8 more rebounds. Freeman and X have been outstanding every night. If they get support from the rest of the team we can play with anyone in the MAC. Great team effort and a great game to watch. If we can play like this in Toledo we could upset them at home.1 point

I wish this entire thread would disappear. Correct, I don't have to read it, but if you are desperate to know something about the former coach I suggest google.1 point
