Big hire for former UA AD Hunter Yurachek. Letting him walk after Rhoades left was a huge mistake. Obviously he'd have moved on from UA at some point, but he'd have stayed here for a several years and done some great things.5 points

Good. From Arth’s first year until now, the one constant has been below average OL line play as a whole. Must fix at all costs.3 points

I'd be thrilled, but with that list of interested parties, I'm not going to hold my breathe.2 points

Thanks to CBS and the NCAA for scheduling the national championship at 9:20 p.m. ET on a weeknight. Sounds like the same guys negotiated this that arranged the MAC weeknight football schedule.2 points

I'm by no means a Calipari stan. I'm more just tired of the entitlement you see places by fans. I feel Calipari will be fine at Arkansas. The Tyson family (chicken), who are big boosters at Akransas and friends with Calipari, are paying his salary and giving him $6 million in NIL annually to play with. I don't think he's going to achieve more at Arkansas than he did Kentucky. I just feel the fans in Arkansas will appreciate it unlike Kentucky.2 points

Makes me wonder when the NCAA investigation of Kentucky basketball will become known. LOL. He's really good at bailing right before the storm.2 points

💯 . It’s always the OL and DL that needs the most attention in turnaround situations. This will easily be the best OL since Moorhead’s arrival. That’s not saying a whole lot compared to the past two years, but I think this year’s iteration has a chance to be at least mid-tier in the conference. The athleticism has increased tremendously. I think this will pan out to be our best transfer OL class. I’m also anxious to see T. Williams and K. Davis take the next step in their development and see who emerges from the 2023 class.2 points

Here’s what I’ve gathered from our MAC opponents during the spring. So much will change in the coming months due to portal activity, so take it for what’s it’s worth. BGSU: Redshirt freshman Lucian Anderson (2023 HS signee) is taking most of the first team reps at quarterback due to last year’s starters being sidelined with injuries during the spring. Senior safety Trent Sims (2020 HS signee) has been moved to linebacker. Scot Loeffler expects some of the freshmen running backs to see significant playing time this year. BUFFALO: Bulls will be playing a spread offense and attempt to move quickly. No mention of who leads at quarterback, but there have been several clips of redshirt junior Gunnar Gray (2023 JUCO). EMU: Junior defensive end Jeff Adam (2024 transfer from Iowa State), junior safety Bryce Llewellyn (2024 transfer from Charleston Southern), junior defensive back Dramarion McNulty (2024 JUCO) are new comers that have been singled out for leading and making plays. On offense, this is supposedly EMU’s most talented QB room since Chris Creighton’s arrival. KENT: Junior Tommy Ulatowski (2022 HS signee) and redshirt freshman JD Sherrod (2024 transfer from Troy) are competing for the starting quarterback job. Kenni Burns believes the offensive and defensive lines will be the strength of the team in 2024. 5 true freshmen played on the OL at different points during the 2023 season and all 5 return. NIU: The quarterback competition is currently between redshirt junior Ethan Hampton (2021 HS signee) and redshirt junior Jalen Macon (2024 transfer from Arkansas PB). OHIO: Defensive leaders are junior safety Adonis Williams (2022 transfer from Navy), redshirt junior defensive end Bradley Weaver (2021 HS signee), and redshirt junior MIKE linebacker Shay Taylor (2021 HS signee). TOLEDO: Mostly just pictures and a few clips. Hard to tell much of anything.2 points

Post #1 updated. Unless I've missed someone it looks like Da'Quan is our 7th OL signed this recruiting cycle.1 point

Nice to get 3 goals and a result that clinched the 2 spot in the North. Also good pk practice although a tiebreaker was not needed. Too bad Zips proved 2-0 is most dangerous lead in soccer and got another draw. Over reliance to send the ball back to the keeper or cross it in front of our own net continues. Hopefully clean that up in the Fall.1 point

I went up to the Tourney Town in Cleveland yesterday. Fun time, especially the show where they had all four pep bands, cheerleaders and mascots.1 point

If anyone is curious about diving into learning about NIL, I stumbled on this and skimmed the thread. From what I read in the thread there were a few key takeaways. - UMass Collective tries to have 3-4 players on NIL - Top role players sign for $20k-$30k. The borderline all-conference team types are $50k. Daron Holmes at Dayton signed for ~$175k - The collective spent $170k on this past seasons roster. They're pushing for $400k for next years, but it sounds they're not close to that total. https://www.umasshoops.com/newboard/viewtopic.php?t=168561 point
