  4. Pretty cool stat..we are the second program to ever score 100 @ EMU. The only other program being FAU’s final four team..

  5. I was sad to see no Evan Wilson face placards in the EMU band nor any real reaction when he hit that three.

  6. That's the most complete game we have played all season - by far. Well done men!

  7. True, he did have a decent game overall, but if I'm his coach I definitely want him shooting more than once per game.

  11. I wish all Zips opponents were as disinterested in playing defense as EMU.

  12. Wonder if Groce had a chat with him after attempting only one shot last game.

  13. Nice ball movement. Not great defense. I'm starting to like the Shamah/Sharron combo.

  17. From today's Beacon/Ohio.com article- Akron junior Josiah Harris has missed the last seven games with an injury. Groce said Harris' status is to be determined. Groce said four players are utilizing a redshirt: freshmen Eric Mahaffey, Rich Brisco and Conner Groce (Revere graduate) and sophomore Zach Halligan (Walsh Jesuit graduate).

  18. Yes, I think this year was also an anomaly. Both the Big 12 and ACC were weak. I'd expect most years at least 1 of the 2 conferences would produce a real contender.

  19. Definitely like the potential of Hocker, Spriggs, and Benenge (as well as the true freshman but unfair to count on them to contribute too much)..but seems like we are going to be counting a lot on players who have not played a significant amount of CFB. All of them will be underclassman, with the exception of Hollobaugh who is a D2 transfer. May be just fine, but just pointing out the landscape.

  20. The committee got a lot of criticism with the initial selection, but the team selection ended up being fairly decent. The SEC proved to over rated and 3 teams for them was more then plenty. Indiana's only 2 losses on the season are to the two best teams in the country. They clearly belonged. I'm still not a big fan of how the playoffs were seeded, but a lot of that had to do with the requirements of the conference champion being given the #3 and #4 seeds.

  21. We’re at 7 scholarship LBs now, which is the number we usually have under this staff. Maybe one of the scholarships get shifted away from DL or DB? Unless someone else leaves, it seems we’ll be rolling out some combination of: Hollobaugh Spriggs Benenge Hocker I like all 3 of the freshmen but I’m not sure how soon they will be ready to contribute.

  23. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them add another LB, considering we had two upper classman enter the transfer portal (really 3 with Fish and the new JUCO rule). Don’t know if it means anything, but I did see Summers reply to Tim Grear’s commitment post on Twitter.

  25. They certainly need to revisit the format. The #1 seed earns you no advantage - not hone court, not less games to win the tournament...nothing.
