Give Hardman credit for a game winner. I cannot remember an Akron game winning shot in the last 10 seconds this year. I really thought it was going to be a Tavari drive or pull up jumper for the last shot. Give Groce credit for the game winning play.5 points

I have a vague recollection of Kent winning at the JAR and going over to our fans and taunting them. I thought it was classless then and classless now. I saw the same thing in soccer this year by our soccer team and others. A coach should teach his players how to win and how to lose. I don't know what happened after the Kent Toledo game but if it was inappropriate I am glad the coach called it out. Regardless if you win or lose, student athletes should not act like jerks after the game.3 points

I by no means am a fan of Kent, but if you don't want opposing teams celebrating don't choke away a late 17 point lead.3 points

If you go to their board they blame all kinds of things for their lack of success. Bad luck, injuries, and saying the tournament needs moved because Kent and Akron get an unfair advantage. Meanwhile, they're significantly closer to Cleveland than schools like Buffalo, Miami, or WMU who have all won the tournament in Cleveland. They just lack any sort of accountability. It's funny enough that they don't feel the same way about the MAC football championship being in Detroit giving them an unfair advantage. They will be in for a rude awakening if the MAC relocates, as it should, that game to Haslamland once the current contract ends.2 points

until the last two games, Akron won the rebounding battle in just about every game. Not making excuses for the last two but Kent missed 22 3-point shots. Lotta long rebounds. Last night was a zombie performance but they still managed to win. Groce will get into these guys and clean it up.2 points

This game magnifies fundamental weaknesses in the Zips this season. I do not believe they can get any W's after the MAC tourney. Here's why: 1) Turnovers 2) Turnovers 3) Rebounding 4) Refusal to play physical (Take a God damn charge once in a while rather than say ole) 5) Inconsistent focus (No team is good enough to turn it on when needed and win against good competition. Hell EMU was bad and they took us to the buzzer)2 points

Also, just confirmed Jasun Ridley, a DE from Pasadena CC. We've been hitting the California JUCO/CC scene very hard. I understand this is the route we have to rely on with our financial limitations but hopefully it pays off.1 point

Every time Pinky looks in the mirror it's a shot at himself. That's why he always looks so miserable.1 point

Lyles took 2 charges against portage community college. Ref called them defensive fouls.1 point

Dang, that was a shot at Pinky 👀👀 Unless Kent players were directly taunting UT players, I'm with kreed. Don't give a team the opportunity to celebrate if you don't want it done. I love seeing UT crash & burn 🤣1 point

You would think a fan base that hasn't seen legitimate March basketball in 46 years would be chomping at the bit for somebody to take them Dancing.1 point

Toledo fans I see on the internet are Kowalchoke stans. They come up with any excuse to justify his underachiements. No complaints on my end since as long as he's at Toledo it's one less team that I have to worry about in March.1 point

Stan Heath's offense looks like a team of transfers in their first practice together. The Zips haven't looked much better.1 point

Can the Zips play 5 minutes of good basketball running their offense and not throwing the ball away.1 point

Eastern is bad and the Zips are playing down to them. The Zips seem to have one of these WTF games every year and I was afraid today that this could be the one.1 point

Announcers mentioned there was a good student crowd for the first half because there was Eastern athletic-academic recognition. Then they all left.1 point

Love Oggie! His upside offensively is tremendous, but I understand his limited minutes with his defense. Luka all over...Sometimes you make others play D while he scores...DP comes to mind!1 point

The staff has offers out to: Josiah Graham - edge // Mammoth Le'kell Mc'Gowan - edge // Memphis Lance Byndon - edge // Morgan State Jahmek Armstrong - edge // JUCO (Independence) Jasun Ridley - edge/DT // JUCO (Pasadena City) There's surely more but that's what I found on X for defensive line1 point

Lane Kiffin is a loser. This is the best playoff ever. The favorite to win the national championship is Indiana, a school that has the most losses in college football history. How about this December/January madness!1 point
