Might actually eclipse 1000 a couple times. Looks like their record is 1700, hit last year against a team from Cleveland. Certainly it's not exactly going to fill the place up, but it's also going to bring a few people out that haven't been to the stadium before, at no real cost to the University, so it's still a win and I'm glad they're trying things.4 points

I was hoping CMU would pull it out against Kent for multiple reasons. Obviously to see Kent lose. The other is I would find it absolutely hilarious for UMass to miss the MAC after their fans crap on how much of a stepdown MAC basketball would be from the A10. It would be a humbling experience for them.4 points

This could be a much different game. KSUcks won't be ice-cold from behind the arc & they'll have Whaley back, who hit the game winner last night vs. CMU. We've beaten KSUcks 6 times straight 🤞 At the JAR it looked like we were in their heads 🤞🤞4 points

I want Shammah Scott with the ball in his hands at the end of a one possession game.4 points

Idk how a 14pt win can annoy me but they find a way to do. Just shows you how much the expectations have risen3 points

I also liked his comment that in the last 5 minutes they were "an embarrassment to Naismith." LOL. I was happy when Buffalo went to the press as I thought it was a nice opportunity for the Zips to get some work in against pressure. Now I am worried it exposed a flaw other teams will exploit.3 points

This is best case scenario IF UMass doesn't end up the 8 seed. I really want them to beat the crap out of Miami OH in round 1, even if they don't ultimately win the game. Otherwise, missing the tourney altogether is a better alternative to them being on our side of the bracket.2 points

Technically, if both teams finish with one loss, it would be regular season co-champions but Miami would get the #1 seed.2 points

This team broke the game open in the 2nd half when they went 8 of 10 from 3 point range. When this team shoots the ball well from the outside they look really good. In the first half they were 1 of 10 from 3 point range but their inside game kept them in the game. The Zips would have 3 more offensive rebounds if the 3 point shooters would follow their shots. The short ball comes right back to them but they just stand still. Finally, Groce looked upset that Buffalo was pressing in the last 30 seconds. The Buffalo coach was gung ho on keeping the press. I thought Groce wanted Scott to shoot the ball at the end instead of holding it. Groce gave the Buffalo coach a quick handshake and moved on quickly.2 points

The Zips head to Portage County Friday night to face the 21-7 Flushes. The Flushes are coming off of a last second 83-81 win over CMU. Delrecco Gillespie continues to lead PCCC. He is third in the MAC in scoring at 18.8 ppg and leads the league in rebounding at 8.6 rpg. The Zips handled PCCC earlier in the season in the JAR, handing them a 69-52 loss on a night PCCC went 1 for 23 on three pointers.1 point

Saturday night, the card shop I work for on the weekends had a huge trade night. Afterwards, the owner thanked all the employees by gifting a box of 2024-25 Panini Obsidian Basketball cards to each employee. 1 pack, 7 cards per. 1 of my 7 cards? Enrique Freeman Rookie Patch Auto /75. Gotta love how Enrique keeps representing Akron.1 point

Don't really know where to put this. But chalk up a few more calendar days that Infocision will be programmed with Akron City FC making the move from SVSM1 point

I was convinced that them playing @EMU and @WMU back to back would haunt them, but they handled EMU pretty well honestly. I won't be surprised if they go undefeated. It just sucks we don't even really have a shot at a shared regular season championship with only 1 game for the tiebreaker1 point

They played at St V which had turf as well. They play 6 home games in the summer so I'm assuming UA doesn't want the pitch to be used that much before the season starts. They usually do some work on the grass during the summer time as well1 point

I am curious as to why they aren't playing at FirstEnergy Stadium–Cub Cadet Field. Why would a semi-pro team want to play on artificial turf with football and lacrosse lines on it when it does not have to? Maybe the maintenance costs at FirstEnergy Stadium–Cub Cadet Field were too high?1 point

I don't think anyone is officially eliminated yet but some teams are basically done, especially EMU as they are the only team with 12 losses so far. They would need to win their last two games and have Buffalo lose their last three. The two teams do still play each other which helps EMU slightly.1 point

If they bring it back maybe you can get another Matthew Wilson bobblehead to complete your collection.1 point

Kent slops their way to a lot of wins. I do not like a potential semifinal game with them. Need to crush their confidence Friday night.1 point

- Didn't shoot well in the first half - Weathered the storm with aggressive takes to the basket - Maintained momentum into the half - Came out of the half with their hair on fire - Up 25 with 80 points at the 9 minute mark1 point

Impressive run. Quite frankly, this is the most impressed I've been by the Zips on some time.1 point

Looking at the current likely MAC seedings, its not likely we'll finish in front of Miami or behind KSU so the seven seed is our likely opponent. Going to root to UMass to take over the six seed to take on KSU in round 1 to beat on each other, which would probably give us BGSU in round 1, whom we don't even rent, we own.1 point

Halcovage shouldn't have played Freitag. he got bumped in the end at the end of game. he staggered to bench holding his head. looked like he was going to pass out.0 points
