Undercuffler is a just a solid back up and Iron’s shoulder situation makes him tough to bank on…we needed a P5 talent in the ‘23 QB mix if we want to make any noise this year. We’ve won 8 games in the past 5 combined seasons, so “noise” is relative…but I really expect a .500 season this fall. We will have a sideline full of transfer soldiers-of-fortune, but hopefully they have something to prove, and gel as the season progresses. Arth was building a team like he had 6 years to start winning. Joe obviously has a more expedited timetable. So many new faces!

His Twitter says he’s a grad transfer with 2-3 years remaining. Bizarre.

I was in Amberg Germany last week for work. When I checked in to the hotel, I provided my ID to the desk attendant and she said "Oh, you are from Ohio? I went to college there for two semesters." Of course when I asked "Where?", she said "The University of Akron." I told her "Go Zips!" every morning when I left for the office. 😄

He was a very good coach at Akron. In a couple seasons he was undoubtedly the best coach in the MAC. He’s been good At Duquesne too. Nice person as well.

I hate to be a Ulysses Upper, but - 1.) It is amazing what credit miracles occur sometimes. 2.) Where is a guy like Dawson, coming off missing a full season, and who loves playing for the Zips, going to go and expect to be better off than competing for Akron? The only real question is - Does Ali mind eating a little crow and coming back to UA? Only time will tell (cue the Asia video).
