So far the only discounted tickets I've found. Like someone above said, there are usually ample freebies or $5.00 tickets being scalped in the lot. The QR code era may put the kibosh on that one day soon.

Anyone have an inside track on discounted game tickets? I'd hate to give KSU $40 for two tix if I can avoid it. 🙂

I agree Amankwaa really stood out. I hope he stays healthy the remainder of the year...we really need a capable corner. I mentioned it after the BG game, and it bears mentioning again...this Zips team reminds me of the old Kent teams that consistently made one or two bizarre mistakes that cost them a game week-in-week-out. The botched exchange between Price and Irons was definitely a tip of the cap to those bygone Kent teams. Seeing that ball laying in the turf, and Irons and Price are running towards the endzone...it's as exasperating today as it was on Saturday. Irons has had a couple chances this season to lead the Zips to 4th quarter comebacks, and each time the offense has fizzled. Somehow that's got to change. Unlike some, I don't see the rest of the season being a lost cause. Kent is 2-5, and playing poorly Miami just put up a whopping 13 points in a loss to mighty Bowling Green EMU just put up 10 points in a 29-point loss to NIU Buffalo and NIU will be tough. But those next 3 games for the Zips are winnable, if we can eliminate those bizarre, perplexing, improbable mistakes that have become the 2022 Zips calling card. I'm so incredibly grateful Joe Moorhead decided to take on the challenge of building a Zips football program. He's not some retread living off his past and milking the University for a few more nice paydays. He's not a young, unproven coach that has no clue what is needed to be successful at the G5 level. He's a proven D1 head coach, proven elite offensive coordinator, and a guy that, for some stupid reason, believes in the potential of Akron Football as much as us fans do. He's here for the long haul, and he'll get the job done. Within 2-3 years we will be at the top of the MAC, with a sustainable program that will continue at that level for years to come. Robert Irvine fixes failing restaurants in one day...it isn't so easy with a dilapidated, neglected 85 scholarship football program. Looking forward to the Kent game. Unlike last season, where the players tanked and the game was over before the halftime show began, it should be a competitive war.

On the old MAC bard there was a CMU fan who went by the name CHIPPEWA ENEMA. He posted there for a lot of years...maybe still does? The name still makes me laugh 20+ years after I first saw it. The all CAPS is the cherry on top. 😂

I'm surprised, with the size and maturity of the guys we brought in on the DL, that's they have been so ineffective. I thought they'd make up for the thin talent at LB and DB, but it hasn't happened. The last non-BG D1 team we beat was CMU four years ago. Hopefully another Chipps "L" can bookend our 1,400+ day trail of tears, and we're subsequently poised for back-to-back "W's" on the 22nd! Hey, I can dream... 😀

Guthrie is crazy like a fox. Jackson Field will create a Tik Tok sensation with the “reversed home plate”. They also reversed 3rd base, but no one noticed.

If the is a Mount Rushmore of garbage athletic directors, the Zips have three of the top four enshrinees in the annals of Division 1 athletics in Helsel, Wistercill and Williams. What did Zips fans ever do to deserve that tripe? It ain’t fair.

If the Zips win in the turnover column, they win the game. If they tie, they lose a close one. For each turnover the Zips are behind at the game's conclusion, the Zips lose by a factor of 7 points. Ohio's talent isn't markedly better that what the Zips will field on Saturday. It would be fun to see us play a clean game, and start the winning process. Zips 31-30

I got a kick out of George stumbling over the program progress analogy..."First you win big, then lose small...or was it lose small, then win by a little? Too many egregious mistakes. Reminds me of the old Kent teams that consistently found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Got the second half to make amends. We’ll see what type of halftime motivational speech Joe instilled.
