Akron Athletics have not done a good job updating the football roster and player bio's the last few seasons. I don't think they have done a team photo either. When you are a MAC school you have to do the easy things to promote your players and team. Heard at the Spring Game that the Zips don't have a parents club for football. If true, someone has to step it up in Athletics. Got to do everything big and small things to attempt to keep these guys out of the portal.

Can anyone confirm that the NCAA decided against granting Bubba Arslanian a seventh season of eligibility? Not good news for the defense and special teams if true.

Any rumors about who the next Zips baseball coach will be? Maybe BW's head coach Brian Harrison and a real long shot of Rob Cooper who resigned from Penn State last month?

I think OL is the biggest concern on the team. Dismissed several guys that received scholarships at larger programs, which is very confusing. Hoping we add at least 2 or 3 legit offensive linemen in the portal before June. Must protect DJ Irons and make some holes for Lorenzo Lingard.

GoZips.com has one article from March 27th about Spring Football and none from the ABJ. As per usual the Beacon is giving zero coverage to our Division I teams. How will the community ever get behind UA teams when there is such little communication and promotion?

I couldn't agree more. I will never forgive Shaka Dumb for the pressing the Zips the entire game in the 2013 NCAA Tournament. We lost our point guard, Alex Abreu two weeks prior and then the day of the game - seven Zips were sick with the flu or had food poisoning. Shaka finally stopped pressing with less than a minute to go and up 40 points. He did this to Keith Dambrot, who WAS allegedly his "best friend in coaching." Shaka is trash.
