  1. The only thing that immediately stuck out... "CCU to host defending SEC champs Ole Miss Nov 16th" Again, we can't do this....why?!?
  2. Worked for the basketball team.
  3. Well damn.. I'm pretty sure I qualify as well. Anyway to check? If not, how will they let us know?
  4. Thank you! The timely responses are much appreciated.
  5. Question regarding the promotion this Friday. This first 2000 fans get the MAC championship replica rings, will the rings be passed out at the main entrance or both the student and the main entrance?
  6. Looking ahead to our #MACtion game, I am a bit disappointed that it is the day after Thanksgiving. No students will be here, and overall attendance will probably be horrible considering it is a holiday weekend. However, I see an opportunity in that it is "Black Friday"..Seems like the perfect time to unveil "blackout uniforms" on national TV very similar to the Zips men's basketball team. Let's get it done.
  7. yea.. it doesnt make a lot of sense, but lets be real...the only one worth watching is the OU/Buffalo game. Should be a good one. BG-Miami I have no interest at all as its going to be a blowout. Heard something that the starting QB from Miami may be out last week, not sure if that has changed or not.
  8. Pohl shouldn't even have played this season. He sucked it up and delayed surgery for the team. I wish we would get off of his case a bit. I guess every other QB is going to have to have after season surgery since he is no more "dinged up" than anyone else. Judging by my calculations, we would have a grand total of zero wins without Pohl, since Hirschman cant run 10 yards without finding a way to get hurt. I will say that his decision making needs to improve, but I will not question his toughness.
  9. Whittington was named #3 yesterday. @HustleBelt 4 Nov Shayne Whittington (@ShayneWick21), Western Michigan's center, comes in at #3 in our MAC BBall Top 25 countdown: http://bit.ly/1cH0Tmh
  10. Miami was an extremely huge win. Probably bigger than the Can't win. However, I think losing against UMASS would have a bigger impact on the program than a win. Which is why we must win. If that makes sense lol.
  11. From what I have noticed, I think the coaches are helping Chisholm with the play-callling. They are giving him the ball more in between the tackles besides those stretch plays that never work. I dont think the stretch plays would work with any of our current RBs
  12. thank you for posting.
  13. The Zipper has been removed for a few games if I am not mistaken. I liked the zipper, especially after they got rid of (I believe) the wording on the front of it.
  14. Many people I know that aren't regular attendees or are only "big game" attendees seem excited and are planning on going to the game.
  15. I heard halftime. Anyways, I agree with a-zip. I thought the turnout was alright, about what I expected considering records and weather. But I thought they severely lacked enthusiasm, especially the student section. Crowd did make some noise in the 4th, though.
  16. If not, I'd say very, very close. Especially with the promotion.
  17. I really agree. The result of the game yesterday is really telling as to the direction each of the programs are going. Can't is going down even further with the loss of all of those key players. They really have nobody else besides them. As for us, well we are only going to continue to get better! As for the UMASS game. The only worry is that we will come out flat and play our worst game of the year (just like last year). Both teams have 2 weeks to prepare. Don't let up!
  18. Speaking of bias... I believe the writers collectively voted on the rankings. A Zips fan just wrote the piece.
  19. Cannot say I am surprised considering the source. I've been under the impression he has been pushing for Hirschman most of the season.
  20. Tree checked in at #4. Couldnt see him any lower than 3, probably deserves 2. Top 3 are going to be McRea, Pearson, and Whittington. IMO
  21. That was Michigan's second loss in three games. They also lost to PSU
  22. Not to be a negative nancy, because I feel great about the win and the future, but we really do lose a lot after this season. The majority of the offensive line, and all but Grice on the D-line. Both have done a great job this year. We also lose all of the secondary as well excluding Bre Ford. Those will be tough units to fill, but I'm confident Bowden & Co. will get it done. We return, IMO, very capable skill players as well as what I think will shape into a great linebacking corp. Couldn't be more pleased with the defense tonight. Archer nor Durham had a huge impact unlike last year. Go Zips!! 4 wins coming up. More than the past 3 seasons combined!
  23. correct. I believe Hirschman re-aggravated his injury on the blown up attempted reverse to Bickley. +1
  24. Would be disappointed if we didn't get at least one more over UMASS. A win over Toledo to end the season would be great momentum to carry into next season. Great win Zips. Time to enjoy the win.
