After Kwan hit that third consecutive three at about 7:00, the only others were a layup and a three from Antino late. Everything else was free throws. I think when Kwan made that final '3', we went up like 73-64? I know it was a nine point lead. Then we tried to run out the clock again . My heart can't take many more of these.
NWAkron
I will have to watch the replay on espn3 because during those last foul shots I was sitting down with my head buried in my hands.

Early in the 2nd half the CBS announcers were talking up Big Dog, Kwan, & rest of Zips. GOTTA LOVE IT! Go Zips! Take it to the Bulls tonight! Keene with 41. That's the first CMU victory at Kent in 20 years.

When I first saw him I thought "nice kid, hard worker, too tough on himself, too in love with the three." Our kid has grown into a man. We can't stop drives to the hoop. Buffalo came out swinging as expected and the Zips gutted one out. Best crowd all season, but our dribble drive defense almost cost us. It was a never ending lay up drill for the Bulls. Nice win, but defense lapses, not getting back and foul shots could spell doom in the post season. The last possession where Big Dog made one of 2 free throws to win? I only count 5 on the ESPN3 replay.
zippyfan34
Definitely rooting for the Bulls to not be the 4-5 or 8-9 seed as I don't want to seem them until the championship. They are long, athletic and can attack the rim.

1981 grad
I am curious what was Kwan complaining about with 12.9 seconds left. The refs stopped the game but they did not mention it on ESPN or during the post game show. There were not to many players on the court. I thought maybe somebody had fouled out and was still in the game. Does anybody have a clue?
NWAkron
At 35 seconds total intentional foul missed Buffalo player locked up Big Dogs arm. Dirty.

Meh I don't think there was any malicious intent. Clearly Buffalo thought it was a better option to foul Big Dog rather than to let him shoot (and they were right). They were just locked up and Big Dog went to catch the post pass.

Yeah but I hate seeing those types of fouls. Olynk-ing someone is too possible.

After the inbounds pass one of their players walked over to the bench and sat down.

He raised his hand trying to get the refs attention when they had the ball and then made a 3. Kd too up the cause and called a time out to complain to the refs. If it had occurred prior to Big Dog's foul shots he would have said something earlier.
