These rumors tell me that if we're successful next year, we'll probably be hiring a new coach (if that doesn't happen this year).  Not gonna lie, the combination of the Groce to Butler rumors and the Ali (from Indiana) transfer still have me a little nervous.

Not surprised Boals would want to bolt. The Ohio roster has been decimated. Who knows how long before he'd be able to assemble a squad to draw major interest again.

In the past couple years, a Boals coached team always made me nervous when they faced the Zips. Just like a Legette-Jack coached team always made me nervous when they faced the Lady Zips. And both are most likely out of the MAC this offseason?!?! Hopefully this will help with my blood pressure 😂

Boals was a finalist for Penn State last year. Kind of amazing to see a guy so far out the door at his alma mater where he was a legend.

I read somewhere that Boals' buyout is $100k cheaper after this week(?), which would explain why this move wasn't made prior.
