clarkwgriswold Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 The 15-9 Chippewas of Central Michigan come to town Saturday afternoon to face the Zips. The Chips are 4-7 in the MAC. 6 foot junior guard Shawn Roundtree and 6-6 freshman forward lead the Chips at 15.2 ppg. 6-7 sophomore forward David DiLeo leads rebounding at 7.2 rpg, while also contributing 12.5 ppg. The Chips MAC wins are against OU (twice), BG and NIU. Quote
NWAkron Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 Looking forward to it. I wish my seats were on the other side of the arena so I could get a better view of the bench drama as it unfolds. On another note, these afternoon tip offs suck. I thought they might be ok, but they are a real drag at least for me. Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted February 7, 2018 Author Report Posted February 7, 2018 I was starting to get used to the 2:00 games then they threw in that noon game last week. I have been surprised by the crowds with the move to afternoons. Quote
Blue & Gold Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 Ugh. He's going to be so out of game-shape and rusty. 1 Quote
Hilltopper Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 I wouldn't count on his return. All that is happening in 3 weeks is a re-examination of his wrist. My guess is that they play it safe and he is done for the season. 2 Quote

I think playing in the Kent game and/or at least one MAC Tournament game is a great experience for a young player like Jaden. Quote
72 Roo Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 Can he be red-shirted this year or has he played in too many games? for sure, if he can take this year as a red-shirt year I'd do it. Quote
zippy5 Posted February 8, 2018 Report Posted February 8, 2018 16 games played, he's not getting a red shirt. If that number was closer to 6 or 7 he'd have a shot. Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted February 8, 2018 Report Posted February 8, 2018 (edited) So we're playing with 7 scholarship players the rest of the season, 4 of which are freshman? Wow... I'd shut Sayles down and heal that wrist properly. Edited February 8, 2018 by Let'sGoZips94 4 Quote
