I hate to complain about the refs but I have seen a lot of contact against Freeman and no whistle and that is fine.  But then we have had a bunch of touch fouls on the other end against Akron.

Look at Aziz knocking down free throws. Even if he probably shouldn't have been shooting them.

How can Aziz keep missing these wide open dunks?  He has to hold onto the ball.  Needs to work on his hands.  Great foul shooting.

On one hand I'd say we can't play this pace in the 3nd half. But on the other hand, I'm not sure this game is really high paced back and forth.. it's kinda high scoring because both teams are shooting over 50%. Need to play some better defense

We rarely have assists and little off-the-ball movement.  Our offense looks like playground ball.

This team doesn't have good chemistry. They don't trust each other (for good reason in some cases) and it shows in the flow of the offense.

 

Trimble hits that shot, but he can't hit a wide open 3 if he had American Sniper style calculations (wind, gravitational pull, etc.)?

 

Awful defense on that final drive. Damnit. I want to love this team. They make it so hard sometimes.

The Zips have up a 63 FG% that half while shooting 45%.

Very similar to the Buffalo/Toledo game.  Eventually, the better team will pull away.  Not looking for anything more in 2nd half.  Groce called that time out around 4 minutes.  He obviously saw the momentum shifting fast.

 

And it really sucks when you realize Zips are being out-coached and the other team is simply better.

On that last play Trimble has to go to the ball and he hesitated a second causing the layup.  A mental error.  We started to struggle when Freeman picked up his 3rd foul.  The commentators indicated he went straight up and it was a bad call.   Two weak calls against Freeman and took us out of our game.

We have 37 points on 45% shooting. Our problem isn't on that end of the floor
