I think Bowen was trying to get a waiver for his freshman year that he only played 7 games. Hoping he could make it a redshirt season. It still might not have materialized.

I think waivers are gone now as long as this holds up.

Enrique Freeman and Sammy Hunter are currently playing each other in FIBA qualifiers. Nate Johnson is playing for OKC in the Sunmer League.

I believe his college career is over unless the NCAA changes their most recent ruling on eligibility.

Garvin Clarke is also on the Bahamas team, which is stacked btw. Edgecombe, Hield, and Eric Gordon in addition to the 2 former Akron players. 

 

Enrique's squad handled them with ease.

I didn't even know Eric Gordon was still lacing them up. The longevity of players today is insane.

It was an unfortunate game for the Bahamas team - Buddy Hield only played 7 minutes due to some sort of injury and VJ Edgecombe fouled out in the 3rd quarter. 

 

Hunter had 5 points in 24 minutes, while Clarke only played 2. Freeman had 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 steals in 28 minutes. 

 

Both Puerto Rico and the Bahamas advanced to the second round of FIBA World Cup Americas Qualifiers.

I had to click on his bio to see if the birthdate was 198* to make sure I was thinking of the correct Eric Gordon haha.

Nate Johnson made his Summer League debut with OKC yesterday. He played 7 minutes and committed 3 fouls...no other stats recorded. They play again tonight at 9 PM.
