Let'sGoZips94
Our ball movement is fantastic. Will be interesting to see how much better we look in March when the chemistry is more solidified. Also, Amani is a completely different player this year. Wow. Props to him for putting in the work this off-season.

LZIp
Tavari’s best game this season IMO. Pretty horrible shooting night collectively though. Luckily we were the more talented team in this one.

Him and Lyles, another player that is constantly talked poorly of on here.

Let'sGoZips94
Tavari's decision making is still wildly questionable. I'm more comfortable with Sharron Young as a freshman, and that's as much an indictment on Tavari as it is a compliment for Young. Harris needs to ice his lower back for the quick turnaround tomorrow. Edited November 23, 2024 by Let'sGoZips94

Hilltopper
It's pretty clear the 2 best players are Tavari and Amani. Their experience in Groce's system showed tonight.

Let'sGoZips94
How are you going to host a tournament and not stream all the games? Bad job out of Akron.
1981 grad
Tavari and Young are both good but Tavari will probably continue to start and get more playing time because he has more time in the Groce system. Heard Lyles on the post game and very smart and articulate guy. He indicated he worked in the gym shooting threes and it shows. Never thought he would be an outside threat but having Freeman as a mentor was great for him. Okonkwo has almost no offensive skills and Lyles got the start tonight. I thought we did a much better job rebounding the ball. In a way this game was boring. We could not expand the lead past 15 and they could rarely get it below 10. There really was never a shift in momentum. It seemed like we were trading baskets the whole night. Good to see the Zips scoring in the paint but surprised how poorly we shot the 3 ball. Almost felt like staying to watch the 2nd game to see how empty the Jar would be.
Zippy87
I know I'm screaming into the void and but our gameday experience is worse than some high school games I've been to. Another night with one concession stand open. Very little happening during timeouts. No energy or effort. The only people that will want to come back are us diehards who will be there no matter what. So frustrating...
