I have been concerned about Young for a while now. I guess it was the South Alabama game that he hurt his knee. He is back to playing extremely hard on defense so I guess he’s good to go. But he’s also a true freshman and his body is adjusting to a much longer and physical season.

I think even without the injuries, it is tough for a frosh to adjust to the longer season.  I remember Tevari was amazing the first part of his frosh year.  I still remember half the people on this board thought Sharron would be starting over Tevari at the end of the season.  Tevari has really stepped up and I think has amazed most of the people on this board by his steady play this season.

Maybe an irrelevant observation, but Jojo Harris has been the guy that interacts with the players as they're announced.  Not tonight.  It was Zach, and I haven't seen Harris anywhere.

I think you are mistaking  Briscoe for Harris. Harris has not been with the team since his shoulder injury. Briscoe was not on the bench last night due to illness.

Harris has been. He even was posting on his Instagram story playing 2k in the team hotel with okonkwo in Muncie

Indeed. And I will add that most bigs aren’t even physically developed enough to see the court as true freshman.

Tavari’s rate of growth has really taken off this year. And his defense is much improved as well. He still needs to learn to count to five when inbounding the ball, but they all have something to work on.

As for Young, his ceiling is insanely high in my opinion. The two of them together next season are going to drive the MAC crazy. Not to mention a new point guard apprentice, Tai’Ree Perkins coming in.

Also did anyone else go on the court for the net cutting? I thought for sure groce said “stick around and come down for the celebration” but not many people did and the ushers were still by the bottoms of the sections. One of them let a group of people go down so we trailed behind them and got down to the court.  It seemed like almost all families of the players but I don’t know 😂

Hardman is great when he has time and squares up.  His troubles come when he's drifting right or left in his shooting motion.

I've become a fan of Seth Wilson.  He had trouble getting on the floor early in the season and I suspected it was because he hadn't bought in.  However, in the last month or so he's getting on the floor for loose balls, bodying up and hustling on defense and been actively involved with is teammates.  If you saw the pregame video of him in the hallway before the team came out last night you could see him pumping up the team.   He's become much more of a contributor than I expected him to be.

Sharron appeared to reinjure his knee on the fast break layup when he was fouled and went to the floor.  He hobbled to the bench from there.

Shamon's steal and basket to end the half was huge.  Tavari had two huge plays late with the 3 as three as the shot clock expired and the layup as the clock expired.  Amani taking the charge was huge too.

Groce stopped in the handshake line and took extra time to talk to Sullinger.  I like how he does that.

The Beacon/Ohio.com article was odd in that it focused a lot on Mr. Pinky and his thoughts on the game with little or nothing from Groce.  Maybe it's because they wanted to get out of there and Groce was busy cutting down nets!

I thought Bud was going to get a T last night!

I agree about Hardman. He seems to think at times that as long as he can get a shot off he should take it.
