Maybe if they still used their historic arena instead of a sterile NBA-Lite arena they could actually get some fans there just for the vibes

I caught some of that game and they hid the lack of crowd very nicely by not turning on any lights in the seating area. 🤣

But then again, our attendance is nothing to brag about either.

You can't expect much more than that from Ohio's #2 CBB team (14 spots behind Akron in the latest NET) and the undisputed worst fan base in the country.

College basketball is a tough sell for much of the country. Most don't seem to care much about it until February/March when the tournament is approaching. Heck even the NBA I hear people joke that the season doesn't really start until Christmas day.

Out of Conference NET going into MAC play. (Will do a more in-depth post after New Years)

Purdue - 9

Yale - 44

Murray St - 81

Iona - 159

JMU - 209

Milwaukee -244

Tulane - 249

Evansville -283

Bucknell - 307

Honestly really impressive we only have one OOC opponent in the 300s and I think Bucknell and move up still when they get healthy. Hopefully Murray can go on a run and get into Q1 and Tulane can get into Q3 and we are looking better than expected!

Here is where the schedule sits in NET now that the OOC is behind us.

Q1

Purdue 7 Loss

Yale 45 Loss

Q2

Murray State 69 Loss

Q3

Iona 147 Win

Tulane 225 Win

Q4

James Madison 216 Win

Princeton 294 Win

Evansville 268 Win

Milwaukee 206 Win

Bucknell 322 Win

EMU 188 Win

James Madison, Princeton, Tulane, and Milwaukee are the most disappointing teams on the schedule. All were expected to be top 150 teams IMO, and none of them are. Iona is the biggest surprise. Let's hope The disappointments find their footing and become what we thought they'd be.
