In my wish world Miami goes undefeated until the MAC final when they get beaten by the Zips and both the Zips and Miami make the tournament.  Two MAC teams in the tourney would be a nice precedent.

Skaljac is playing really well for them. Being honest, I think they are the favorite watching them last night. Of course doesn’t mean we can’t knock them off. We might be looking at UMASS, Kent, then Miami in the tournament though which would be tough.

You should be careful what you wish for, it would be very difficult for us to beat them in both the MAC and NCAA tourneys!

Yes, it does. Every game up until the Final Four gives a credit. Each credit is worth about $2 million.

Is it distributed evenly among the conference or does the team that actually plays get a higher share?

Every conference is different. Some conferences is an eat what you kill and others split it fairly evenly. I think the MAC gives some money to teams to help with travel, but the rest is split fairly evenly.

 

They used to have some incentives to promote regular season success and meeting certain scheduling requirements, but frankly the MAC hasn't won many additional credits so that incentive pot has dwindled.

Any team that beats Miami in the final is going to get some attention. In the worst of all wish worlds Miami loses in the final and it's not Akron.
